Lack of talent around Cam is showing

Id say its more scheme.

And not so much Shulas playcalls( no pitchforks-- Shula must die)-- its the route designs.  Having a skinny post with a deep out on the same side of the field for example--- Kelvin beats Sherman like he stole something, but Earl Thomas is too good to have a skinny post running that close.

There were a lot of routes like that.  Kelvin did a great job of selling the slant or skinny post only to stop and turn out. ANd he was fighting for the ball-- messed Sherman up pretty bad.

Now,... I love some Corey Brown,..... but the first int was seriously him not fighting for the ball. Cam through the ball to a SPOT well before all that unfolded. And of course it was a win or punt like play. Get it down field and win or if INT its like a great punt.

That play was better because it got Corey one on one with Sherman, the safeties cleared elsewhere.

Yes poor Byron must be put in a crate and shipped off.  He got beat repeatedly-- I saw one play where thank God Stewart came left and trucked Irvin coming in,...

Tolbert sucks. Straight up.. Love the fat bastard,.. but he doesnt pick up blitzes,.. whiffs blocks,.. and he got trucked trying to truck some one. Useful days just went bye bye.

that was a second read, his primary read was on the ground. He tried to force it lat in the middle. Something your not supposed to do, but we were in a fug it we need to do something now mode and it is what it is.

Sure but to act like he had time to make another read and not throw it anyway is not true. He had his primary read fall he saw that and made the correct adjustment to another receiver on the other side of the field. he had his eyes to the left quickly saw his guy on the left, threw the ball. The situation we were in had him needing to force the ball down field on the best backfield in the league. would you rather we had ran a draw and punted? Our team is well aware of the fact that other team air out lucky bombs late to win games, we were not going to go out without trying this time. We did and it was close to working.

So, your excuse for throwing a pick in the red zone is, at least he made a couple reads? You were in fug it time and he had to do something?

Bullshit. You were down two scores with 6 minutes left. You score on that possession and it's still a game. There was no reason for him to throw that ball, other than his inability to see the field. The ball should have been thrown in the stands behind the end zone.

There is never an excuse for throwing a pick 6 in the red zone.

I'm trying to figure out if you people are retarded (i mean seriously) or are just that biased. I am leaning towards the former. Dickinson was the 3rd fuging read on that play. If you are the 3rd option, you should be constantly working your way back to your quarterback. This fuging dick had his heels firmly planted behind the first down marker, waiting/reaching out for the ball. Cams fault was assuming his teammates would be as aggressive as the defense.

This is what I thought I saw.

I thought Cam made some excellent reads, while throwing under pressure through out the game.

Yeah, he made some mistakes. But Brown and Dickson, did him no favors as well by not coming back to the ball on those two INT's.

Cam looked like a real NFL QB IMO. And despite the loss, I would hope that's the way Shula, or who ever the OC is,  plays next year. I hate too much emphasis on the Read Option. Let QB's that need it, like Wilson (they set him free with other short throws, timing routes, fakes, etc.), RG3 and Kaep do that crap. they're 1-2 read QB's anyway.

Cam showed, he can throw the ball well in the toughest environment, against a great defense.

I just think he needs a better OC, with better play calling, placing him in better situations, omitting  the obvious 3rd and long situations (at least against a great defense on the road).

I think a full offseason with his WR's will help tremendously.

We definitely need to get another speedster in here.

I've been pretty disappointed with Cotchery. He's done pretty much nothing but drop passes all year.

The game last night was in our hands, we just let it spiral.

I find it curious how people are on Cam about the game, but I don't see too many people talking about Rivera's terrible terrible clock management at the end of the first half. That swung so much momentum to the Seahawks, and was disgusting to witness him yet again trying his best to piss a game away.

Tolbert isnt a fullback and isnt a good running back. He plays hard which isnt a liability but hes lost any explosion he had and he cant do blitz pickup.

Go back and watch how many times hes jn the game and he doesnt see or whiffs defenders.

When stewart had to go block like a full back for cam he blocked chancellor to the right and cam went left for 3 more yards.

Just saying

People are talking about the clock don't worry. Others are catching heat.

it's as if people don't realize the defense dictates who is covering who.

Not necessarily true. Seattle always plays Sherman on the right side of the field. That's why John Lynch kept saying during the broadcast that Carolina should line up Benji against the back up corner who was playing.

The lack of talent excuse is a bit overplayed around here.  While I agree that we need to find some upgrades at certain positions, Cam and/or coaching staff need to share some of the blame.

Statistically speaking our offense wasn't much different last year.  In 2013 Cam had pro-bowl level players at LT, C, TE and WR  and two of the highest paid running backs in the league and our offense wasn't that great either.  This idea that the franchise hasn't spent resources on the offense is a myth.

When I first joined this board every other post seemed to be people complaining about Lafell.  "If we only had a quality #2" was a statement that I saw consistently.  Brady and the Pats have had a decent season with Lafell being their second most productive receiver.

Brady's top three receivers with Lafell on the team :  Gronkowski, Edelman, Lafell

Cam's top three receivers with Lafell on the team:  Olsen, Smith, Lafell.

Cam's top three receivers this year:  Olsen, KB, Cotchery

Is there really this huge divide in talent that some people want to believe or do we just get less out of our talent?

I think we all agree our offense has issues.  Its some combination of Cam, coaching, or the supporting cast.  This off season will be interesting because we will get an idea of what DG thinks is the problem.
