interesting stat

just a quick drive-by stat here. but there have been three teams so far this season that the Panthers have played twice. At home, the Panthers struggled to beat these three teams, and didnt in two cases. Away, the Panthers dominated these three teams and won in every instance. Two of the away wins were in loud dome atmospheres. does this bode well for Carolina? you decide.

Panthers @ Bucs: W 20-14

Saints @ Panthers: L  28-10

Falcons @ Panthers: L 19-17

Panthers @ Saints: W 41-10

Bucs @ Panthers: W 19-17

Panthers @ Falcons: W 34-3

so do the Panthers have a trend this season of playing tough with teams while on the road in a second match in a loud atmosphere? yes the trend is there. does it have any bearing on tonight? i hope so. but you tell me what you think Huddlers...

Our 3 wins on the road this year aren't impressive. Lots of points against the Falcons and Saints, but those two allowed an average of 26+ points/game.

The 2 losses on your list happened when we were suffering from injuries, juggling the thin OL, and depending on older, slower vets at skill positions. Do what Dallas did in Seattle and we win- 3 TD's and 160+ yds. rushing, along with controlling time of possession. Even without us doing much on offense, the Hawks haven't dominated us in the last 3 wins, but we keep letting Wilson beat us.

Don't know that you can call the Atlanta game loud. We traveled REALLY well there. It was as close to being a home atmosphere as you can get on the road in the NFL.

Saints game wasn't much worse.

I do think that the noise won't get to us much. We'll see in a few hours. My biggest fear isn't the noise, but just putting up points. If we score 3 TDs and our defense balls out, the crowd will be taken out of the game I think.
