Scott Fowler says we lose

 

Seattle Seahawks simply have too much talent, will beat Carolina

 

It gives me no pleasure to throw cold water on these proceedings.

But the Panthers are not going to win this game. Seattle is simply too much. It’s not because their fans are so loud, either, although that doesn’t hurt. It’s because the Seahawks’ best players are too good and there are too many of them.

Carolina Panthers have an indefinable quality, will beat the Seattle Seahawks

 

I last picked the Panthers to win a playoff game in which they were extreme underdogs in 2004. They went to St. Louis to play the Rams, still boasting plenty of key cogs from the offensively dynamic teams known as “The Greatest Show on Turf.” The longer the game went, the tighter the Rams became, and the Panthers won in double overtime.

I didn’t make the pick so Panthers fans would like me. Hello, friends, already has been claimed.

That Carolina team had a quality both special and cool that metrics can’t define. So does this one.

But most of you say that Sorensen is the douche and Fowler is the one knowing.  Make up your mind.

Generally speaking, Fowler is the logical one.  Sorenson gets caught up in the moment (for good or ill).

 

Folks who have been around for a while might remember Sorenson going at it with Pete Prisco back when Prisco was the Jags beat writer.

Tom can get a little emotional in the past handful of years; he used to not.  I've never read anything from Fowler that convinces me that he knows anything about football (not saying his prediction here is right or wrong either).
