Hornets @ Knicks 1/10

Omega Atrocity

I knew we played today, but I had no idea it was gonna be this early so I missed watching it. I'll have to go back and watch it because I record all of them regardless...

That being said, I hate to be that guy, but I told you so about PJ. He needs the minutes to get a rhythm. It's not coincidence that Neal doesn't play at all and he has a great shooting night.

I know it was the Knicks, but the more we play without AL, Lance, and now Neal, the more I think we're a better team without them. The only guy in that group that should be salvageable is Lance.

I wouldn't really count 50% as a "great shooting night". He was 6 for 12.

When everyone's been down on him because his season averages are in the low to mid 30s, it is. He shot 50% from the field and from three, that is a great shooting night for a guard in my book.

I had always thought he needed 20+ mins a night to do what he does effectively and he had 22 minutes without Neal playing. Neal needs to stay on the bench.

The stats are deceiving, PJ was actually really good in his normal minutes. In fact he was 4-5 for 10 points in the first half.

But as the game went on and he picked up more minutes, he got significantly worse and went 2-7 in the final 11 minutes of the game.

I still think the hot start can be attributed to having confidence that he was going to play extended minutes, but who knows. Regardless, it was better than Neal has played in over a month.

Good game by the good guys. Always nice to win by 40. Haven't watched it yet. Still DVR'd Lou vs UNC and Panthers pregame had me distracted. Will watch this afternoon

I know Kemba is continuing his "Fug you SuperJ" tour by scoring 28 points in 3 quarters.
