Cam, and its not even close. Cam is may 60%-70% of his ceiling now, Russell hit 100% a long time ago. Cam rises in big moments even when things look like they are going bad---- like the big long 3rd down scrambles where he TRUCKED 2 guys to get the first down.

If Russell tried to TRUCK someone,... he would find out hes a Volkswagen Beetle,...

Russell is a wanna be Doug Flutie,..

Not including this season, Cam has out produced Wilson the last two previous seasons.

Wilson has never faced the adversity Cam had to face, ever since the get go Cam was drafted by the worst team with the last ranked offense, WIlson was drafted by a middle of the road team which has actually tried to help him by acquiring weapons. The Hawks went after Harvin they went after Rice, the drafted him a receiver in the 2nd round. Outside of Olsen the panthers had no big name FA acquisition, they finally drafted Cam a receiver in the 4th year of his career.

so...one year longer in the league equals less experience????

Russell played 4 years of division 1 college ball.  3 years in the pros.  7 years of experience in total.

Cam played 1 year of division 1 college ball.  4 years in the pros.  5 years of experience in total.

Hell, you could honestly scrap that 1 year of college for Cam since that system they ran at Auburn didn't really develop him as a QB at all.  He was pretty much thrown into the fire since day 1 and been developing on the fly.

He's a year younger than Wilson as well.

Say what you want about Wilson but the kid can ball. Unlike Cam, he scrambles while looking to extend plays with his arm, Cam scrambles and uses his legs. I.believe Cam would have equal numbers and wins if he was surrounded by the right staff and talent. Wouldn't mind having either one.

Not sure if serious or....

Cam has had way more adversity. If he was on the Seahawks they'd have two superbowls. And for all the BS the media spews about Cam and his maturity at least he shows genuine emotion for the game. Wilson puts on an obvious cookie cutter BS facade that is just as if not more so disengenious than the narrative the media portrays of Cam.

Plus Cam is just as cerebral as any other QB out there. Idk if any of you read the observer today but there was article that basically credited Wilson as a pocket QB that can run while Cam is an running QB/ anything at all cost guy/ Typical bs. Cam is just like BIg Ben but more athletic. Wilson just scrambles until a WR breaks free half the time.

I swear a very large amount of Seattle fans have never played football, if they did it wasn't at a very high level nor do they have any rational logic when making arguments.

In high school we ran a pro system. Our QB was a gutsy, crafty player much like RW. We only threw the ball 10 - 20 times per game. In the 4th round we went up against a team with a prototype QB (6-4, 220) who was committed to NC State. They threw the ball all over the field and their QB was by far the best player on the field and one of the best in the state. We beat them. Not because our QB. We had a couple extremely talented RB'S and a great line. That still what wasn't what beat them. It was our defense, constantly making plays and putting our offense in great positions to score. What team does that sound like?

Seattle fans are constantly throwing "RW has a Super Bowl what does Cam have" as if that is what defines a QB regardless of what anyone says. By that logic, RW is on his way to being better than Peyton Manning. Football is a team sport. Not only is it a team sport, you have to have a scheme and play-calling that fits your QB'S strengths. RW has that, Cam Newton does not. The system the Panthers run (other than the Pistol and read option looks) are more suited for a Alex Smith type of QB. Not taking anything away from RW. I personally believe he could be successful in most sytems. RW came into the perfect situation. Already a good defense in place, continuity with the coaching staff and organization and an offense that was a couple pieces away from making the Seahawks franchise a legit contender. The rest is history.

Cam came into the league onto the statistically worst offensive team, by far, in the league. What happened? The Panthers jumped from the bottom of the league to top 10 in one season. Cam had the best rookie season in the history of the league and the Panthers were competitive in every game. Year 2 in the Cam Era and you could sense the Panthers were right around the corner in competing for a playoff spot. Cam constantly put the team in position to win only to be let down by the defense time after time, game after game. Enter year 3. Continuity. Coaching staff was still in place, rapport with the receiving core, and a solid defense was finally established. The Panthers won 12 games and became the team all the fans knew they could become. This season, what Cam did was nothing short of remarkable. To face the adversity he faced and still lead this team to a division title regardless of record shows what kind of player and leader he is. He doesn't make every throw, he doesn't always make the right decisions. What he does do is leave everything he has on the field, leads his team, takes blame for losses and credits his team for wins. What you're seeing his greatness in the making. Cam has come along way since 2011. We are witnessing a superstar in the making slowly growing week by week, season by season. Cam Newton is our franchise QB and there is nobody else I want to lead our team.
