Michael Jordan (Cam) vs Isiah Thomas (Wilson)

Russ couldn't even hold Isiah's jockstrap. Isiah carried his team for years with no other superstars except a young Rodman who was coming off the bench and wasn't a superstar at the time. Russ is more like a Robert Horry.

Come on, now. Where would Wilson be if he was placed in our system from day one?

Crying and scared on the bench.

I respect your commitment to Cam as a fan, but Russell Wilson was supposed backup Matt Flynn but forced the issue almost immediately.  He was the third QB to enter the game in our first preseason game that year and had worked his way up to start by the final preseason game...he's never given up that position.  Additionally, Wilson has quickly ascended to start in every situation that he has ever been in.  I'm not saying that if Cam was there and the Panthers had drafted Wilson that Cam would have beaten him out....there's no way to know that.  If you guys didn't have Cam though, I can pretty much assure you that Wilson would have found a wya to start.

As for your comments about Wilson in your system......have you seen the Hawk's system, WR's or O-Line?   We run block well, but there's a reason Russell is often throwing on the run....our Pass Blocking can be a sieve and our receivers have been called "Pedestrian" many a time.

Obviously, I'm one of the votes for Russell BTW....I've seen too much of what he can do, and how he leads our team to go with a guy who may have all of the physical tools but appears to not have put all of them together just yet. :)

Cam.  He has a higher ceiling.

The NFL history books are LITTERED with QB's who had a "higher ceiling" than other players that they were drafted above.   The Hawk's selection of Dan McGwire over Brett Favre comes to mind, also Jack Thompson over Joe Montana.  Sometimes the "intangibles" and up mattering more in the NFL than the Physical skills/attributes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Cam is Dan McGwire or Jack Thomspon.....I'm just using them to prove a point about "ceilings".
