PSLs for our "New Atlanta stadium"

I've been gone for years, most of ya'll probably won't even recognize my username!

Anyway here's what I wanna know, used to read nothing but complaints about the PSL program - I've had season tickets at the Ga Dome for 13 years but after the last two seasons I barely want to renew for 2015, much less send Arthur Blank thousands of dollars so I have the "right" to buy season tickets at the new palace he forced down our throats. (replacing a paid off facility)

Just curious to hear your general thoughts, Cosmogirl (Robin) gave me an earful about them way back when...

I like them because (duh) you have your seats for big games. You know the view and you know with whom you are sitting. There is a certain area I like to sit and some I hate. The PSL fee itself is paying for a shiny new stadium.

The problem we have is that lot's of folks bought PSLs and don't really come to games anymore. So we don't fill up and it is easy for opposing fans to get seats. Even for our playoff game apparently face value was easy to get on the street. The games that I recall being very very hard to get were Dallas, New England and SF playoffs.

The PSLs to my left and right are never sat in by the owners.

Long answer short...you will be fine if you don't buy PSLs.

2 - 80grand in San Fran!!!

Talked to an old gal in the airport there this spring and her and her husband were long term ticket holders at the stick and they were essentially forced to walk away due to the new psl fee...they received no discount or anything kind of loyalty thing

Absolutely think long time season ticket holders deserve some sort of discount as a reward for our loyalty but doubt we get anything of the sort.

The way the Georgia Dome was originally financed should be a model for other cities...instead Arthur wants to get greedy...makes me sad.

I'll probably just start going to a handful of games and tailgate the rest (live a few blocks away).

Never been a PSL owner myself but not for any philosophical reason, just never had the cash for the 4 PSLs i felt I needed and I'm 90 miles away so that means I'm spending 5-6 hours in the car for 3-4 hour game.

That said...

I'm actually in favor of the concept and since the career has been good to me will likely be grabbing at least a pair in the next year.

If for no other reason than when the day comes that the Panthers grab that #1 seed I dont want to scramble for tickets.

PSLs are stupid and hurt the team fanbase. The experience of going to a game is one of the things that develops a fanbase. PSLs make it so it's difficult for anyone without a PSL to go to the games.

Rich people buy up all the seats and don't bother going to the games and sell the tickets to the opposing team.

Also if you're so rich you can just buy tickets each game even above face value.
