I hate to ask this but is there a limit on how close to the game he could be called up?

I think the Panthers must announce the active roster an hour before kickoff. They wouldn't have to decide who dresses for the game by then.

That actually is a solid point. BUT I doubt he has agility like Philly, seeing as he was a PR.

I am leaving the decison up to Rivera and the coaching staff on whether to start Hill or not and going along with their final decision. They watch him every day in practice and should know if he brings enough to the table to start. There is no doubting he has the speed we need but i have no idea if he has the total skillset and knowledge the coaches are looking for.

Look at how many new starters we have since our winning streak began. Then look at how many of those guys were backups and weren't promoted to starters until we hit a 6 game losing streak or the starter got injured. Here's a hint, it doesn't inspire confidence in this coaching staffs ability to get the best players on the field.

Hill has all the intangibles, he has starting experience, he creates match problems, and we are playing against a premier secondary on a great defense. We can't go into that game with no deep threat. For those of you calling for Joe Webb, you may have seen a YouTube clip where Richard Sherman is telling the guy he is, "sorry....you're so sorry" calling him out for not challenging him in any way. He's talking to Joe Webb. I hope Philly is good to go but if he isn't.....give Hill a jersey and let's roll the dice.

You're missing the point. The point is only that we need someone fast, I'm not comparing them to anyone but Bersin.

 

 

I agree with your point. I'm simply stating that Stephen Hill is faster and bigger than Presley. Hill has also had production in the league and i'd rather see him.

I don't trust Rivera to put the best players on the field. It's hard for me to believe Bersin is better than Hill.

Joe Webb is 6-3 and ran a 4.4, if all we need is someone to run really fast in a straight line like I'm reading he sounds perfect. He can also play QB, play special teams, and has been on the active roster. While I love throwing crap against the wall and hoping it sticks, Webb's crap is a little more versatile.

As would I. I think Presley could be useful in certain situations though. He can emulate what Philly does within the offense better than Hill. I don't know that I want a 6'4 guy lining up behind Cam in the pistol. Deandre is on IR though so it doesn't really matter.

P.S. I met Presley up at App one day on the football field in the summer and he genuinely is a nice, well spoken person. I show no favoritism though.

If Brown is healthy he should be our 3 in most situations however Hill, if he has proven himself could be invaluable as a situational guy to us. We would be like the bigger, faster, stronger Monsters of Midway.

Hill should have been playing, when we were losing. The team could have atleast then knew if he's worth even playing or not. Waiting all the way until the playoffs against the defending sb champs because Philly get hurt, come on now.
