RR not ruling out calling up Hill

Are we really arguing over this, we have the Cotch, 10 year Veteran, we have KB, we have Philly B, we have Hill/Webb, and we have Sunshine. And don't forget our #1 receiver number 88. We are good, I'm not worried about receiving core, I'm worried about protecting the ball. NO TURNOVERS, close In the end zone, NO FG. We have Cool Hand Luke, Beast Davis, and Bene and other defensive players.

Yea because no WR has ever joined a team late and played right away. He's had practice he's not going in there blind.

If they did they were much better than Hill at that point. I don't have a clue whether he can learn the playbook or what the problem may be. But I can bet you they are working overtime to help him learn what he needs and have for months. If he isn't playing I am sure it is for a very good reason. If he does play then you can assume he has made good progress and might have a future.

With his measurables and size, teams should have been fighting for him and he wouldn't have been here for the taking. Plus he would have been snatched off our practice squad by another team. Maybe you should ask yourself what every other team in the league knew that you don't about Hill and why they didn't want him.

Because again this coaching staff has proven they always put the best players on the field

No one is trying to be a bad ass or anything else. I am simple remarking that unless you know the answer to the question, be willing to listen and learn to what others who do know with an open mind. Do you see me commenting about this topic indicating I know what is going on or why he isn't playing? No because I have no clue and unlike you don't decide on a conclusion until I have enough information to at least make an informed opinion.

Do you see me commenting on it like I'm the end all be all? In fact most share the same opinion as idea. Based on what we know, I believe there has to be an alternate reason that Hill isn't playing other than his drops.

However, like I specifically said in my previous post, I have no idea.

Forgive me for speculating on a message board. I didn't realize after multiple years of posting on this board there was a guideline I was supposed to follow.

Some people lol...

If it were only us then that might make sense but who else even wanted to open a practice squad spot for him? And I think the innuendo that Rivera doesn't know talent assumes he makes decisions in isolation. You can surely know that both Shula and primarily Proehl are doing most of the decision making as these guys are much closer to the players on a day to day basis.

Go back and look at what you wrote before the last post which is what I responded to. You said I refuse to believe drops were the issue. That not only suggests you had a clue what it wasn't and were not open to changing your mind. That was pretty clear and what I responded to. If you don't know then saying something like " I really don't know the reason he isn't playing but I would speculate that there must be another reason beside just the drops" says the same thing. And if you had said that or something similar, I would have not responded at all.

Wow...

If you're going to quote someone make sure you quote exactly what they said. If you went to school (or have a job) you would know that you can get in trouble for doing poo like that.

What I said was "I refuse to believe that is the primary reason for his sustained position on the practice squad" (regarding the drops). In fact in every post thus far I've stated that their could be other reasons that Hill isn't playing.

That means that drops could be the issue but there also could be another issue that we aren't aware of for Hill's permanent practice squad placement.

You clearly just wanted to pick a fight but hey, it's all good.

No fight I just am tired of everyone stating everything as fact and being intractable without a clue what is going on. So when I see it I respond. I have put up with innuendo and speculation masked as fact all season. I am tired of it and call it what it is. Hell half the posters on here don't even know the difference between a fact and an opinion. So,if you,got the brunt of that I am sorry.

You're not very cordial sir. You can make your point without calling people idiots. The debate is whether or not we have the speed to stretch the field without Brown. The answer is no, unless we use either Hill or Presley. Both run a sub 4.4 and Pressley is of similar stature as Brown which makes him a viable option in the backfield. So yes, we will debate why Presley could be useful but the point is moot because he is on IR. I personally want Hill because of his size and speed. If Proehl has been practicing those back shoulder fades then he could be invaluable.

If Hill's ability catches up to his athleticism we could have a fairly solid receiving corps with Dickson, Olsen, Brown, Hill, and Benji.

Presley ran a 4.64 at the combine. He's hardly a speed guy.
