You apparently were not around 10 years ago. Those of us who grew up fans of this team can now afford season tickets, and things are getting better. Just takes time.

 

THIS! There are currently only three generations of Panthers fans, one of which consists of young teens and children. The first generation either gave up their allegiance to a different team or started following football when the team came to Charlotte. It's going to take decades to build up the fan base that a team like the Steelers or the Cowboys has.

Exactly. I was 12 when we got the team. I was, admittedly, not a football fan until then. My generation grew up Panthers fans, going to games whenever we were lucky enough to get tickets we could afford. A few bad seasons helped. I probably went to more games in 2001 than any year to date. Now I try to get to two or three games a year, friends in Charlotte are buying second-hand PSL's, and we're getting loud. Wine and cheese crowd be damned.

I agree, and I'm not saying in this post I think everyone should take their shirt off or be drunk maniacs. I'm just really passionate about our sports as most of everyone on this site is and the "cheese and wine" crowd gets to me sometimes.
