City of Charlotte

God forbid you pay $100 for a Panthers ticket and want to scream and yell a little bit or don't want to sit down the whole game.

I feel your pain on some level..  However, I yell and scream all fuging game and have sat all around the stadium and sat by old people, parents with young kids, and even gave hell to opposing fans who seem to think there is such a thing as away team seating for fans.   Ridiculous concept, I know.  Raider fans aren't the smartest.

Never once have I had security called on me or even been asked to sit down..   But I'm still waiting for the day to join the ranks of you who start these threads.

I have never seen NBA or NFL facilities get owned by opposing fans more consistently and often than here in Charlotte. Those fuggers rub our faces in it to. Saturday was a step in the right direction but next season when Green Bay, Phily, Washington etc come here it will be same old same old.

It helped that there aren't any Cardinals fans outside of Arizona.

Aw, you mad?

Yes, it does. Classic Bible Belt redneck hicks. That's what it makes you look like.

ALL that needs to be said is "If you'd like to pray, please rise" not "please rise". It's inconsiderate and ignorant to expect people to pray in a public environment.

BTW, my father is a minister.

I'm a non-Christian agnostic deist (look it up) and I think your complaint is stupid. Charlotte keeps struggling to come up with an identity and it already has one: Christianity. That comes with the good (Billy Graham) and the bad (PTL/Jim and Tammy Faye). Our identity isn't barbecue or NASCAR, it's a church on every corner: the small Baptist churches to the megachurches at Calvary and Elevation.

If I went to a soccer game in Indonesia and they want to acknowledge Allah before the match starts, why would I bitch about that? Newsflash: I'm in Indonesia.

Seattle has the 12th Man and we have Jesus. Deal with it.

I could go on forever about this so I'm going to make it as short and sweet as possible.

Does anyone else feel like the city of Charlotte is a bunch of fairies? I live in Charlotte, I go to many Hornets games, many Panthers games and loyal to the sports 100 percent. I love this city as well. But you can't even take your shirt off at a game anymore. It's "family friendly" everything. Call security if the guy beside you is acting crazy. God forbid you pay $100 for a Panthers ticket and want to scream and yell a little bit or don't want to sit down the whole game.

It bums me out. This city is young and I know we don't compare in history to places like Philly, who has a holding cell in their stadium, or places who will support their teams no matter what like Buffalo, Chicago, New York. But that is what we need. And I just feel like these big wigs in the city "wow" their clients with floor seats or a box suite at Bank of America and close the deal and move on.

I just feel like it's so censored here, you can't show your passion. There are people here who love sports. We should be able to show it, if you want to take your shirt off, do it. Me personally, if I catch you in the opposing teams jersey you're in for a long day. I should have that right, so should everyone. Either way, blah blah I'll stop whining. I'm ready for Saturday. Panther nation, BRING THE MOTHER fugIN RUCKUS!

You apparently were not around 10 years ago. Those of us who grew up fans of this team can now afford season tickets, and things are getting better. Just takes time.
