We could just as easily get picked off or fumble if we get the ball first. That could easily impact the game too. Also, I'm not too worried about Bersin. I'm sure the coaches made an emphasis this week to him on either calling fair catch or getting the hell out of the way. I still say a lot of that last week was because of the Cardinal's historically bad punter and the sloppy weather.

I would defer because our D is our best unit on the team and has more veteran leadership. I think that onfield leadership in a game like this will help everyone stay disciplined but aggresive and "skrong".

I also think the offense will have a bit more confidence if the defense can force a 3 and out or turnover on the first drive. That little boost of confidence could help with drawing first blood as far as points. If O comes out first they really need to swing. A 3 and out for us would be no bueno.

i feel like we will go for receiving it if we can. Against the cardinals and falcons may be wrong but i think we choose to receive it. If we score first and then shut them out on d we are in position to score again and at least deflate the crowd.

We've turned into a receive first team if we have a choice. I have no problem with it. It gets cam in and moving quick early. I think when he sits and has to watch for a while he gets a little out o synch.

D is gonna be fired up no matter what. I wouldn't mind seeing us receive. Offense is the more finicky side of the ball for us.

The Hawks always defer if they win the toss. The Panthers know it is what the Hawks want so they will surely defer if they win the toss. Plus the crowd is in turbo mode if the Hawks defense is on the field first. It is highly recommended to kick

That Seattle crowd is going to be fired up and with the way our defense has played, it would be nice to take them out of the game early.

Play defense then get the ball, and go up-tempo and get points on the first possession.

I too like the defer option. Let luke and TD come out and hold the birdies to a 3 and out, then we get the ball at around the 30 and have much better field position than we would have had receiving the ball
