Well, I think that learning process has begun, though he's certainly not on the level of the elite QBs in that regard yet. I agree that he'll need to work on that part of his game more if/when Lynch is done in Seattle. I think the Hawks will always dedicate themselves to a strong run game as long as Carroll (or a Carroll disciple) is in charge, but as Wilson gets older, he's not going to be able to use his legs as effectively. He might still retain some elusiveness, but he won't be able to get around the corner against a young LB.

EDIT: Just realized I'm hijacking the thread a bit, so I'll leave the discussion of Wilson alone going forward. Sorry about Lotulelei. I like that dude.

Stop being so damn likable!

In 2005, we lost pro bowl defensive tackle Kris Jenkins the first week of the season. We thought our defense, and the season as a whole, was doomed. But then along came a pig farmer named Jordan Carstens who started 15 games and helped anchor the defensive line on the third best defense that year. We also made it to the NFC Championship before getting blown out by. . .Seattle. BUT THE POINT IS

We have better DT depth than 2005. All is not lost.

Tough break.  Both teams are down their stud DT .. Star is a monster, happy that Unger will have to block Colin Cole (who was one of the worst DT's in recent Seahawk history.. hopefully for your sake he's improved since then)

We've had no injury concerns with him, which I understand was the reason you all chose to cut him. He plays a vital role in the DT rotation of keeping blockers off our LBs. The Carolina BBQ must be better for him than the Pacific seafood.
