Hardy definitely played in the Eagles game on November 14.  He played badly.

There were two reasons I picked the Eagles game.  One ...it was only 6 weeks ago before the playoffs started and secondly we both played the Eagles.  The Hawks played the Eagles 4 weeks after the Panthers did.  Plus the Eagles had a pretty good record at the time we played them so it seemed like a decent test for both of our teams.

This thread is about our secondaries.  Hardy is fair game in this discussion.

I'm certain I will view more video as we get closer to Saturday.  I have to say though that so far I haven't been impressed with what I've seen of the Panther secondary.

Actually, Hardy didn't play against the Eagles....and this is coming from a fellow Hawks fan - he was suspended and put on the Exempt list early in the season due to off the field issues (with his girlfriend, I think?) - He didn't even play against us in our game in Carolina earlier this year.  Perhaps you are thinking of Charles Johnson or Wes Horton?  Those are their other DE's.

Now rereading your post, there is no way you are referring to Hardy as he's not a DB.....I think you are likely referring to Roman HARPER.

For what it is worth, Harper is a strong safety who is much better in run support than pass protection. He is old and slow but given the rest of the secondary being very young he is a good leader and keeps everyone on point. I believe he typically calls the coverages and makes sure everyone is on the same page in the secondary. kuechly does the same thing for the front 7. What he lacks in speed he makes up in knowledge.

Hard for me to say anything nice about Harper. He used to be a Saint player and was dirty. While he has cleaned up his act it is hard to take someone you have loathed and turn the switch simply because he plays for your team now. But I am trying.

After reading the first couple of pages, perhaps the question I should have posed is "Which secondary would have the better overall game?"  Yeah, the gameplan for each team may call for less passing generally, thus reflecting on the stats.  Yet asking for which would have the better game would be more accurate toward the skills of the respective secondaries.  I believe the "Legion of Whom" will show up the LOB haha.  Carolina will be more physical than Seattle, and Russell Wilson will want no part of that action.

You sir are a dumbass, you have just blown any shot of credibility you had. How can you come to another team's board and try to debate them on players on our team. Not only that, but do you pay attention to the rest of the NFL. Pretty common knowledge that we haven't had Hardy all season. Take 13 million off your roster and see how you look

The guy is an alternate account. Jase confirmed.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
