Wilson plays in a different system emphasizing shorter passes and fewer throws so naturally his accuracy will be somewhat better but not that much  59% versus 63%.  Seattle relies on Wilson to scramble on third down but not to score TDs with his feet.  He has 11 rushing Tds in the past 3 seasons.  Cam is more of a dual threat to score and had 14 in his first year in the league. Wilson's system is more quarterback friendly and requires him to do much less than Newton. Given the differences in system between a WCO or a Coryell System the difference is completion rates or accuracy is really nominal.  The reason Wilson is always scrambling is because he is so short he can't see over the line from the pocket.

Are you trying to be literal? Because, no, it's not accurate. He didn't throw off of his back foot the whole game. I saw pretty well from my seat, and this video says he didn't either.

I'm not saying he didn't throw off of his back foot during the game, but to say he did it the whole game is asinine.

I was watching nfl live today they said, "Look at this play. Cam needs to stop throwing of his back foot."

The play proceeded to show Cam stepping into the pass with his front foot.

Some smart ones we have here.

Any win on the road against a team with a full compliment of the opponents starters is a good win.

Beating AZ on the other hand in your own house isn't much to shout about. The poor team doesn't even have a QB. I feel sorry for those guys. Talk about snake bit.

Cam will probably have a decent first half/qtr. Then the flood gates of forced decisions and errant throws and GFB trying Sherman's territory will pile up into a mountain of despair.

Wilson ....on the other hand... is a surgeon. He never gets to high...never too low.. He will test the Panther defense with the only true implementation of the read/option in the NFL.

The thing to watch is how open our receivers will get when Wilson runs around in circles a couple of times to wear out your spying LBs and Linemen and your DBs start thinking run!!! That's when you look up and one of your corner's has dropped his assignment and Baldwin or another Seahawk receiver or WORSE!!! Lynch has snuck into the vacant area 20 yards down field and YIKES!!! Wilson flips him the rock.. The look on a DB's face with Lynch barreling down on him is priceless.

Pretty sure I didn't bring up AZ

And like I said, we have we been up late the last 3 matchups. Your fictional breakdown of what to expect doesn't actually match any of those games.

Will we win? We shouldn't

Can we win? Sure we can....bc we have proven to marchup well. Simply a matter of can we make the plays for 4 quarters instead of 3.

And no, Wilson isn't going to wear down Luke and Davis. Talk like that....yet again....tells me.....you ain't here to actually talk football. Or potentially don't know much about the matchup. One of the two

A huge chunk of that production isn't as a pocket passer.

Seahawks won't beat us unless he gets outside as a passer and uses his legs some too

That of course implies special teams doesn't give it away.....which they easily could

I would not call Wilson patient in the pocket. Not from what we have seen over his career.

You find something that breaks down his throws from in the pocket versus those on the run and I'll listen. He's an accurate passer both in the pocket and on the move.

Cam is much more dynamic, but Wilson is the better passer. I can't fathom Russ throwing for 400 yards in a game, let alone two in a row. However, I can't imagine Cam finishing a game with a 75% completion.

NFL Live did a segment a little bit ago and Antonio Pierce had a couple highlights that demonstrated Wilson's patience.

I hate the phrases "shouldn't" and "not supposed to". Fug the status quo, anything is possible in this world. Otherwise what's the point of living.. if everything is pre-planned and laid out and you can't stray from that plan, then there would be no point.

In other words, that's why the game is not played on paper.

You have Seahawk fans who watch him all day even acknowledging it.

They do segments showing all kinds of stuff. I can show you segments from this year on Cam and you would think they are talking about 3 different players.

Yes, Wilson makes plays from the pocket. Yes he shows patience sometimes. Overall, in his career....he bails early out of comfort often. Not forced.

Bingo. I have been reading through these threads and you are the first to state one of the main  reasons Wilson scrambles out of the pocket. Like you wrote, he is so short that a lot of his pocket passes would be batted down, plus the fact he has a problem seeing over the DL.

Wilson is a good QB but  being short will keep him from being considered elite once Seattle's defense starts to become less potent.  Drew Brees has overcome his lack of statue, even though it is still a problem but i presently don't consider Wilson to have Brees skillset.

Wilson is a game manager, he's not a guy who will carry an offense. He may for a game here and there, but he won't carry a team through a season.

This is PATENTLY FALSE and Wilson has disproven it again and again and yet because people continue to say it, people believe it to be true.
