We gave up, they never did

I had my doubts but never gave up.  I wanted us to win the division.  I don't care what our record was I just wanted to get in and see what happened.

This team has in a weird way become one of my favorite Panthers teams of all time.  It is something that goes beyond our record, but the way this team has fought back, and fought back, and never gave up

I'm an optimist by nature and I don't give up easily, ever. I always strive to see the good and the positive. And I have never given up on the Panthers. I expect their best - and to win - every game. Because I give them my best every game. Sometimes it hurts and sometimes it's wonderful but life continues on, win or lose. I hate the draft until it's over, then I can look forward to the new season and more football.

Thank you, ladypanther, for reminding us of what being a team is all about, of what these men are made of, of why we cheer for the Carolina Panthers.

My life philosophy is in my sig. Says it all.

I was a fan that was pretty much Cleveland Brown-esque (how can you hate a Browns fan?)...meaning that I always made sure I was going to watch the game, but when we had 2 punts blocked and returned for TDs, all I could do was just shake my head and attempt to chuckle it off. I didn't rage like I used to.

That all changed when we kicked New Orleans teeth in. I'm upset we didn't more points on that scum of an organization.

Usually i am very optimistic but this time i gave up right before the team rebirth.

Now Norwell, Remmers, Turner, Bene, Boston, Jones and of course Josh are the main reason of the Panthers improvement.

I am optimistic again SUPERBOWL !!

let's be honest, the only reason we even get to have this conversation is because the second place team in the NFCS couldn't muster a better record than 7-8-1. the only reason we're counting these hardships as memorable bumps in the road instead of kicks while we're down is because this division was historically pathetic.

but nobody could help that, and whether or not the team deserved our support before is irrelevant. they deserve it now. i can't fuging wait for saturday.

So your saying they didn't deserve your support because they weren't winning?

Not this guy...it was going to a transition year and my biggest fear was the fanbase was going to disappear. In some ways it was exciting to see the changes but it was going to be ugly. the only real surprise was the Smitty deal but then he's an old pro and was frustrated with the changes.

I even called the Saints and ATL wins...our rookies were coming along nicely and the D was gaining confidence.

The division collapse was also a surprise but this is a great opportunity for the nextGen Panthers to get some playoff experience.

Win or lose I'm always proud of our team and if we can get this young team some extra reps on national TV, even better...

I didn't give up on the Panthers.

I gave up on the Huddlers. I had hoped this fanbase had turned a corner with last year's effort in the greatest uniform of all time Dameshek smackdown, but when injuries started biting the team, the majority of Huddlers chose to turn on the coaches and front office for not making a silk purse out of chickenshit. The team's success or failure reflects on them even more than the players, so why question their intelligence or motivation when their NEED for the team to succeed outweighs our WANT for the team to succeed?

I hope you remember how quick you lost faith when next year's team is hit with some adversity, but I'm not optimistic. I swear some of you are no better than bandwagon fans.
