Since you mentioned Tom Flores earlier, how did you initially feel about the Seahawks giving Pete Carroll final say over roster moves instead of the GM?

I can't speak for Beast Mode, but to me, I didn't care what powers we gave him......as a fanbase we were kind of in the pit of despair after Jim Mora's 1st year as a head coach - we had won only 5 games (one more game than the previous season) but as a team we were really not very competitive and the roster was aging.  The prospect of landing the hottest coach in college football gave me instant hope for the next season and the future.  And that hope was ultimately paid off by a Wild Card berth the next year and a Super Bowl win within 4 years.

I can't lie.. the moment NFL Network broke the news that Jim Mora was fired.. I was so pumped and completely convinced they were about to back the Brinks truck up and hire Jon Gruden.  Then news broke that Pete Carroll was their guy and I was kind of panicked and going "nooooooo!" 

 

Needless to say.  I was very wrong.   I also was like "WTF?!" when they picked Russell Wilson.  So maybe you guys should be really happy I'm predicting a Seahawks win on Saturday.... hm. 

 

Why is "Seattle's Best" literally the worst tasting poo-coffee in the world?

 

Isn't it though?  It's like Folgers and Maxwell House had a love child then drug that child through a field full of cow feces.  

 

Not sure if you have these out East.. but up here we have drive-thru coffee stands where the baristas are basically half-naked.  It's lovely.

 

What is like to only see the sun 3.5 days out of the year

 

It's awful and you should never move here under any circumstance 

 

(Really though the summers up here make up for the long, gray and rainy winter)

Not my money.  And I'm on record thinking it's kind of a lame gimmick.. but hey.. a lot of fans swear up and down by it.. so it's clearly working from that standpoint.  They're making that 100K back and a lottttt more.

Honestly not much of a skier .. I've gone a couple times and I think it's too late in the game and a bit too expensive a hobby for my tastes given my severe lack of skill (and balance for that matter).  But Crystal Mountain is really highly regarded and gets a ton of snow.  

 

Can you get The Killing back for another season?

 

I'll see what I can do. 

 

I went to a pre season game there in 2004. I guess that makes me an OG Seahawks fan.

So what will you do when Ranier explodes?

 

I actually live northeast of Rainier, so I would be in the clear for anything really bad..  the brunt of the damage would hit well south of where I'm at.  I'd be more concerned about a big ass earthquake than Rainier. 

 

On a clear day though when you look at that mountain, it's equal parts beautiful and intimidating when you realize that big ass thing is an active volcano.  Haha.
