And do you guys really like soccer or are you just trying to come off as more worldly to your friends?

 

It's probably a mixture of both.  Seattle has a ton of people from other parts of the world.. so there is a lot of culture up here.. but I also think a lot of the Sounders support comes from that same groupthink that hits the other sport teams.  I've never actually been to a Sounders game, so couldn't really answer fully.. but it was pretty cool up here during the World Cup (basically the extent of my soccer fandom)

...How did you feel about 'the Boz'?

 

I mean.. he was obviously a flop when you consider the 1st rounder it took to nab him, and all the hype that surrounded him.  I also think the size of flop he was is equally exaggerated.. as was Bo Jackson trucking him.  If Bo Jackson does that to anyone else .. its not nearly as big a deal.. but Boz's mouth brought that on.

You can even ask me about the city of Seattle.. and if we all are really over caffeinated hipsters with seasonal depression since it rains about 6 months out of the year.  (I personally am not, but.. many are haha)

How about this.  

 

What's your opinion on the upcoming game since you seem to be an actual football fan?

 

I am probably partially clouded by being a Seahawks fan, but I just think the way the Seahawks defense has played the last 6 games.. and the way they are running the ball, and how they typically play in primetime (especially at home) .. that they will come out on top.  Not to discredit what Carolina has done of late.. because even though the NFC South was awful, the Panthers did what it took to get to this point.. and I think the world of Kuechly and the rest of the defense outside of Roman Harper.. I just can't help but think that the Seahawks defense may be a little bit inside Cam Newton's head right now.   Cam has faced Seattle three times and has never really played well against them.. 

 

This defense has made the best QB's in the game look downright silly (Peyton, Rodgers, Brees).  I think the only way the Panthers stand a chance of pulling the upset is if Cam does not let the Seahawks defense rattle him.  I mentioned it previously, but Cam is a guy that will struggle if you can pressure him and force some bad throws.. whereas if you let him get comfortable and he starts smiling and dancing and having a grand ol' time.. that's not a good thing for an opposing defense.

 

Basically, and I hate to compare Cam to Kaepernick because Kaepernick is everything I can't like in a player and I respect the hell out of Cam, but both guys have the same personality trait in that when the game is going badly.. they tend to press and make mistakes.  That's exactly what I expect the Seahawks to try to do to him.

What is the deal between Marshawn Lynch and Pete Carroll? And are there any gritty strip clubs the players hang out at in Seattle?

 

Marshawn is a strange guy.. no one really knows whats going on inside his head or the locker room. 

 

I think it really stems from his contract more than anything else.  If you're a player and you cant get along with Pete Carroll, there is something seriously wrong there.  

 

If the Seahawks go on to win a second straight SB though, would not be surprised at all if Lynch retired.  Hell, he may do that regardless.  He supposedly was really close to hanging it up this year.

Seattle is Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Heart, Pearl Jam, etc. Don't you dare blame them for Nickelback.. thats low.

He's as healthy as he will be until the season ends. Will probably have surgery in the offseason as he's been playing on a bad ankle all year but is wearing a special cleat to alleviate the pain. Kam is a monster though.. and the anti-Sherman in attitude (though I of course LOVE Sherman and all the arrogance that comes with him)

Shhhhh! Don't let people know Seattle is a beautiful city. It's rainy, gloomy and full of everything awful. Stay away. ;)

Can't forget Alice In Chains one of my all time favorites forsure
