Where is the best place to ski around Seattle? Washington is on my hit list for skiing

Crystal Mt. and Mt. Baker are the two largest, but as others have said, Whistler/Blackcomb is worth the drive.

currently saving to move to oregon. the northwest is beautiful. will always be a panther fan tho

If you're moving to Portland, move to Camas, WA instead and save yourself the income tax.

e: i'm jealous you have the sounders though. it's a european football atmosphere in america

My wife and both daughters play soccer so I've been to a few Sounders games (my goto Mothers Day Gift). It's a different atmosphere than football, but is still a great experience

why and when did they start calling Qwest field (now CL) "the clink"

Do Seahawks fans think it sounds cool? do you think its "badass" LMAO.

Century Link bought out Qwest and changed the name. CLink is simply an abbreviation.

Still nothing on the pinball museum. I guess Seahawks hate pinball

Honestly never heard of it.

Have you been to Crystal Mtn? A friend of mine who is very nice on the mountain enjoyed it there. BC is great but if you want to stay in the states I feel Colorado and Utah have the best snow as it is much drier.

WA snow is wetter and heavier than Utah powder, so be prepared for a workout.

Do you guys seriously think you have the "best and loudest" fans in the NFL or do most fans have perspective and realize that the stadium design is what makes it louder?

The stadium design was a happy accoustical accident (small footprint with half roof = parabolic shape), but we fans do provide the constant noise on defense. We don't just yell when the opposing team gets to the line, we yell when they're in the huddle so they have a hard time communicating the play. Why more fan bases don't get this...

I did find something to hate.

Coleman is on IR. What is up with the team doctors? Does Coleman not get the best care?

Yeah he fractured his foot in warmups for the KC (?) game. He's a good player with a great story.

Can you get them to quit running the Richard Sherman soup commercial with the SeaHulk guy?

I know, right? Worst commercials ever.

Went to olympic national park last summer, needless to say it was awesome and the weather was great. The charlotte to seattle direct flight isn't bad at all, the San Juan islands were purdy neat too.

Any of yall ever been to NC?

Never stationed but have done a few exercises and pre & post deployment training at Lejeune over the years. I figure I have about 8 months in NC, all on the coast.

Ospreys still scare the crap out of me, I feel safer in a CH-53, but I've seen some of them malfunction and fall out of sky. I rather stay on the ground, lol.

Never been in an Osprey but have been in everything else. I assume by your username you're a Corpsman, in which case I'd like to thank you; we Marines love our Corpsmen.

Yeah u guys seem cool, shame that we will destroy your team. Can't wait to see espn the following day too. When Seattle, the team everyone think will win it all( idk why they think that in the first place, but that's a different argument), loses to the supposedly worse team( guess they haven't seen the colts play?).

Its not a shame.  We can live with it and life goes on.   The team might be upset and same with some fans, but I am still re-living the 2013 season and championship.  I don't have time for any 2014 stuff.   Hey, I got an idea! You guys should get a football championship too!  It is super fun and never gets old.  I'm sure you will this season after you destroy the Hawks like you said.    :D

ESPN the following day?  The only coverage either of us is going to get is on the ticker.  Lambeau, Dallas, Pey-Pey and that Supermodel boning Tommy will take up too much time for the Panthers and Hawks.

So do us Navy boys...  Especially when the Corpsman is a Misses and can arrange for scheduled "exams".

Ahh... the 80's...  I suppose it is impossible to get away with that stuff now.

also, which Panther player jersey would you choose to buy?

International run at Alpental is a rush.  Deep powder much of the time.  You had better know how to ski.. it starts off with around a qtr mile of serious vertical.

For another steep run with many tree tops providing numerous technical challenges you have to try 7th Heaven at Stevens Pass.

Both of these areas are within easy drives from Seattle,  In good conditions Alpental 30-40 min drive    Stevens Pass just a few minutes more.

I was not aware that there was a pinball museum. It may be one of those tourist traps that the locals never visit.

You have nothing against the Seahawks because you're a good judge of character.

The Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame -- definitely worth the cab ride off the Strip.

International is a good run, but let's face it, it's the only good run in all the Snolqualmie ski areas. Stevens Pass is an hour and twenty minutes from my house and is my local ski slope. Love Whistler though. Used to go up there 3 times a year....when I was single.

Fug, Marry, Kill

Russell Wilson

Eddie Vedder

Macklemore

Marry Russell Wilson. He's got a big raise coming soon and if we're down the aisle before he signs the contract then it's community property cha-ching!

Yeesh, what a selection for fug or kill. I guess fug Macklemore (obviously with the lights off) since he's still young enough to put forth some lively effort. Sorry, Eddie but that means oh-whoah you're not still alive.

I've been wanting to get to Olympic for sure...the San Juans are awesome!

Been the Charlotte for three games myself....Falcons, Seahawks and Giants...don't remember the years off the top of my head.  I know the first time was the falcon game and the Hawks beat the Eagles the next night on MNF 42-0 in a snowy Philadelphia!!!!

The Olympics take days if you want to fully explore the area. You can stop basically anywhere on that peninsula (excluding the poo hole Port Orchard) and have a great time. I wish I had spent more time there. I was always preoccupied by the off road trails at Gifford Pinchot.

Never, but I think it would be interesting. Washington wasn't even a state until 1889 or something so we're completely lacking in that rich American history of the revolution, the antebellum period and civil war era that you have. Even our rich guys are relatively new, so we don't have old barons-of-industry estates like the Biltmore which I would love to tour.

I prefer the "hey we just built a civilization here in the middle of the wilderness" feel in Washington. That isn't to say I don't appreciate the history of the Carolinas, especially in the coastal areas. Charlotte is rather disappointing, imo.... so much history, torn down and modernized. Mecklenburg County declared independence from Britain over a year before the Declaration of Independence was signed. General Cornwallis called the area a hornet's nest of political activity. That's why we wanted the Hornets name back so bad. Also, the local police department's logo is a hornet's nest.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg_Police_Department_

If you're into that sort of history and do make it to Charlotte, the Levine Museum of the New South is a must-see attraction.

Thoughts on the latest Rams rumor? Owner Kroenke building his own stadium in LA in order to move the Lambs there.

Think the LA fans will be more obnoxious than St. Louis? Or will they care since it's not futbol?

I hope it happens as it means one less 10am start and one more away game that's worth a long weekend.

Obnoxious fans are just obnoxious people, no fan base is immune.
