The "Ask a Seahawk Fan" Thread

Bruce Irvin was my second pick of the 2012 draft, the Seahawks drafted Irvin with their 1

Do you still think Irvin worth a 1?

Any regrets for cuting Jaye Howard, my 5th pick of the 2012 draft?

Irvin had a really nice impact his first year, but the team moved him around a bit. He was initially just a speed rusher, but they played him a lot at SLB last year. This year, he's been working at SLB and acting as a nickel rusher, and his skillset has really rounded out. Whether he was worth a 1st round pick, I think his work this year has ended up justifying it. He gets consistent pressure on the QB and has done pretty well in coverage, too. I'm glad we have him.

Howard was one of those guys we thought would take a year to develop, but had a high ceiling. It would have been nice to keep him around, but considering the depth we had on D last season, we had to let some good prospects go.

Hey folks! I want to play, too. :) Maybe you need a female Seahawks fan for a different perspective...

First, the obligatory trash talk: You're gonna lose on Saturday. You just are. Sorry.

Second, thanks for all the comments about the beauty of the Seattle area. It's pretty great from about May to September but truth be told I'd move to warmer climes if I could. Too many days where it's either raining, just got done raining or is just about to rain. Mount Rainier is only visible about 85 days a year, and that includes when you're right at the foot of it. I've never been to Carolinas at all. Lived in Virginia Beach as a kid but that's as close as I've been.

Re: Bandwagon - Save it because I've been a Seahawks fan since they were an expansion team (and I was a 10 year old). I had season tickets back in the Kingdome days but not since the new stadium was built. It was fun going to Husky Stadium in the interim. Talk about a beautiful view!

Speaking of views...a couple of photos I've taken. The first is from my house - I live about 25 miles North of Seattle and those are some of the Cascade Mountains in the background, but they're way smaller than Mt. Rainier which is about 100 miles away. The second is the Skagit Valley during tulip season. I'd be interested to see some of your scenic Carolina photos, too. Only after you're done insulting my state, my team and me personally, of course. ;)

Where is the best place to ski around Seattle? Washington is on my hit list for skiing

also, which Panther player jersey would you choose to buy?

I am not from Seattle and obviously not a Seahawks fan but I can very easily answer this.

Whistler-Blackcomb Mountain in BC.  Probably best skiing in North America.

It is about 4 hours away from Seattle.

Banff is really nice too...real close to home for me so I'm there quite often. As far as the original question though of skiing....you can't beat Whistler/Blackcomb

Have you been to Crystal Mtn? A friend of mine who is very nice on the mountain enjoyed it there. BC is great but if you want to stay in the states I feel Colorado and Utah have the best snow as it is much drier.
