As much as I'd love for them to cut ties with Al (and Lance, pending his fit with this Al-less squad) unfortunately they won't do that.

While getting a win without Al is nice, it's more a reflection of the schedule finally starting to soften after that brutal start, and if you shop him no one is going to give up much for an injured, thirty year old big who doesn't defend as a half-year rental unless they have a defense that can compensate for his deficiencies and can be assured he will re-sign with them.

Bottom line, we do not have nearly the firepower on the perimeter to compensate for Marvin disappearing on the score sheet and Biz not knowing how to basketball offensively. We need SOMETHING offensively in the post to have a chance at catching the 8 seed.

I agree on pretty much all of that.

The problem is just that Al gives up so much defensively that his offensive contributions are too often for naught. Without him on the floor, the offense is actually better because we are able to get out and run far more often than we do when Al is in the lineup. So replace the points that Al would be giving us with the points any and every other player score on fast breaks without Al in the lineup, and you have to wonder how much he really helps?

I agree, we would be selling low and I don't see our FO doing it, but as it has been discussed before, he played out of his mind last season and I really think that's the best he'll ever be.

I'd also like to see Lance back while AL's out with this more uptempo style and see if that makes a difference for him as well. I mean, Lance had slow ass Hibbert in indy, but the difference was, Hibbert played d and could often start a break with his abilities on the defensive end and everyone else would do the running. AL doesn't do that.

Cody seems to be developing pretty well. It's been a poo season, but there are a few bright spots at least.

Are we ever going to give Vonleh some minutes? Starting to piss me off.

No. That's how raw and "not ready" Vonleh is.

Can't blame it on Clifford since PJ has gotten more than his fair share of minutes this year.
