I got a bunch of friends who live in Jacksonville. The people really support that team, regardless of their record. Unlike A team say like Tampa Bay....

And not to try to stir the pot, but do you think that the NFL is trying to get away from the debacle that is Missouri, ie Ferguson?

 

I don't think politics have anything to do in the Ram's instance. If politics were instrumental in team relocation, Dan Snyder would have been out of DC in a heartbeat.

What is an old LA Rams fan like me to do? I know there are others who grew up rooting for them thru the good and mostly bad times and also grew up in So Cal. What do you guys say? I won't give up my love for the Panthers but this is tough. It's like thinking someone you loved died 20 years ago and then having them miraculously be found alive.

The only reason why i'm interested is so I can buy season tickets so I can have the opportunity to watch the Panthers when they do come. 

 

Does anyone know if there is a limit as to how many tickets can be purchased? (For BOA?) I'm certain the new stadium will employ PSLs model

Wouldn't be surprised if that old woman who owns the Rams works out a deal with Mark Davis & the Rams/Raiders split costs on a stadium & both teams move to LA in 2016 or 2017. The NFL wants 2 teams in LA like they have in NY.

After that, there shouldn't be any moves or expansion for a very long time. Buffalo is staying put- nobody else will go to Toronto, London isn't gonna happen regardless of what the NFL wants. There's really no other place actively pursuing a team. Maybe San Anyonio? Jaguars or Titans, since they're already in the South division. Not sure what TEN stadium & support is like, but Jax isn't as bad as it's made out to be.

That old lady was Georgia Frontierre. We hated her. She purposely drove the franchise into the ground to destroy fan support and create an empty stadium so she could create a reason to take them to her home town. We hated her. By the way she died years ago otherwise this could never happen.

Regarding Jacksonville, I live in the area and they are loved and have very good support even thru the loosing seasons. I don't believe they are going anywhere. If they did it would be a total injustice. Just as it was to the Rams fans. There was a lot of fans when I was growing up there.

Your right the Panthers are going nowhere. It would be a terrible injustice just as it would be for the Jags and was to the Browns, Colts and Rams fans. I hate when teams move and abandon those that have been supporting them for years. I don't think anyone is seriously saying that the Panthers are moving. This thread is more about the Rams return to Los Angeles where they should have never left. They screwed over a large fan base and there are still many in So Cal who pull for the Rams. I couldn't do it. I was a fan since I was like 10 years old and moved to Charlotte in 96 the Panthers second season and was mad and refused to pull for the St Louis Rams or give any support to anything to do with Georgia Frontierre. We were hoping she would die before she could pull this move off. We had an hunch 3 years before they left LA that she was manipulating the on field product to steal them from us. Thank God Mr Richardson would never do that to our team.

Financially and population wise it makes sense for St. Louis to lose the Rams. LA can support a team and get in the Super Bowl and National Championship game rotation quickly.

That unt Frontierre took my team out of town.

Not sure I could ever forgive the Rams but as they never in their 48 years in SoCal had a stadium it is understandable from a business side that they left for the shiny new Trans World Dome in St. Louis.
