Hello from Mike Remmers' agent...

One question:  Has he ever played LT?

One question again:  Have the Panthers seen enough to suggest a longer-term commitment to MR? (or am I being premature?)

He started every game at LT his senior year at Oregon State and played a little LT at the end of his first game with the Panthers this season.  Mike's a guy who can play anywhere on the line if needed, but I think it's clear that RT has been a great spot for him here... Probably a little too soon to start thinking long-term, but so far so good!

Tell Mike thanks helping to save our season and KEEP POUNDING!!!

Thanks to Mike for stepping in like a boss. He's done a really good job. Happy for him and us as a team. Kill em up in the clink.

Mike is doing a great job on Panthers talk tonight. Real personable and I love that he is from Oregon State and told his family and friends if they want a ticket to Sea. they have to wear Panther gear. Keep Pounding.

Just wanted to say we're as happy to have found him as happy as he sounds to have found us.

It's a perfect match. He's playing awesome.

Awesome to have you post here! Carolina is like no other place. I'm sure Mike is seeing that. I hope he continues to thrive and stays home here in Panthers country. Best of luck to you both!

Thanks again... I'll definitely let him know.

Dave is a classic old-school GM who I've dealt with since I got into the business 17 years ago. I don't find him tough at all, just a straightforward, no-bullshit kind of guy.

As someone that has been in the business for that long, what are some of the changes you have noticed among teams in how they conduct their business over the years? I would assume the last CBA (with the reduced rookie saleries) shifted some teams philosophies.

Also what are some of the common traits you tend to find in the more successfull organizations?

Thanks for responding.  I think he is in a good situation here at RT and this OL coach has a good reputation of getting the most out of limited resources.  Remmers has just been solid.  I used to coach the OL in high school--not an expert, but it taught me to watch the game in the trenches.  I was a fan from the first game-

I imagine this season is motivation for him, and that he will train very hard to take the job again next season.  I see him part of a young and dynamic OL.  I imagine we add a rookie T next year, but thanks to MR, we should feel very good about the OL.

I've probably rewatched the highlight of Fozzy Whittaker's screen pass touchdown a hundred times.  It's one of my favorite plays from this past weekend.

If you watch it again yourself, pay attention to the left side of the screen just after the beginning and you'll see Mike Remmers make a big block.

Hello Brett, you sir are a class act.  Thank you for dropping in.  It's rare we get to see the "inside" of things especially from an agents viewpoint. Mike is very well loved by this fan base.  He literally came out of nowhere and was an immediate success.  I wonder how many "diamonds" are out there.  I do hope you find them all and are successful in your ventures.

Appreciate it. Just got back in town this morning from LA where I was watching a new client in the NFLPA college all-star game. Sorry the season ended, but it was a hell of a run and the Panthers really appear to be heading in the right direction. Just a few more playmakers on offense next year and this team is going places!
