The Seahawks have owned our fat asses for the past half decade, but those bastards haven't seen the new-look panthers

To be honest, I compiled my the averages myself from box scores on ESPN.com. Looking them over, it appears that I grabbed the wrong totals for the Saints game for you guys. I have you guys at:

Rushing: 197 ypg

Passing 200 pyg

Defense 238 ypg.

The Hawks totals didn't change from my original:

Rushing: 170 ypg

Passing 222 pyg

Defense 202 ypg.

The only category I have you guys winning is Rushing...where are your stats coming from? I also verified mine with NFL.com (I would attach my spreadhseet but that apparently isn't allowed)

As for your assertion that you faced the 2 of the top scoring offenses in the NFL - funny how you pick and choose your stats there - The Hawks faced the Eagles during our 6 game winning streak and they finished 3rd in scoring offense (higher than either the Saints or the Falcons (who I have at 12th actually in PPG, although they were 8th in Ypg). During that 6 game stretch, the Hawks gave up a total of 39 points (average of 6.5 PPG, only the Eagles scored more than 10 and that's because we gift wrapped a punt block for them (ball hit Jon Ryan right in the hands and he dropped it), while the Panthers gave up 59 points (40 in just the first 3 games of their streak- an average of 11.8 PPG). And the Defenses that the Panthers faced during their winning streak were far worse than what the Hawks faced(All in the bottom 10 of the league) - The Eagles were the worst D that the Hawks faced, but they are better than both Atlanta and New Orleans and only slightly worse than Tampa Bay)

"Our stadium is loud. Wilson is no game manager! Panther fans are clueless! Cam is a pouter that wears a towel on his head. Seattle is a relevant city! North Carolina is full of rednecks. I snapped a dick pick of Kam Chancellor and the rumors are true. Russell Wilson delivers baby kittens and Cam Newton just doesn't know how to pass and he is a prima dona his dances suck he's not a leader that can't drive. The Panthers have a losing record. Marshawn Lynch can break tackles."

Translated.

When you talk to a cocky Seahawks fan, I give you this...

NFL PLAYOFFS

A young team started the season 3-2 only to take their division with 7 wins. During the playoffs, they went into a game against the favored defending Super Bowl Champion team.

Everyone doubted this -10.5 point underdog against such a formidable foe who had beaten them earlier in the season. This underdog 7 win Seattle team went in to the playoffs and sent the defending Super Bowl Champion Saints home.

Learn from history. A Carolina Panthers team with NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to prove is something to be FEARED....

Exactly. Seattle can talk all the poo they want, but they went to the playoffs as a 7-9 team. And as far as Cam goes, the man said in the playoffs, there ain't no sliding after picking up the first down or running out of bounds, he's running to win.

That was a great game and great moment when the Hawks took down the Saints in the Wildcard round.

And then that team with NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to prove went on the road in the divisional round and promptly got curbstomped, down 28-0 before Chicago's prevent D in the 4th quarter allowed the Hawks to make the game look closer than it was (final, 35-24).

I'm not suggesting that Seattle's going to do the same to you guys that Chicago did to us in 2010, but the history probably isn't going to be on your side in this game. Road games are almost always tougher than home games (unless you're Dallas in the regular season or Baltimore in the playoffs, I guess), and Seattle doesn't have the same disadvantages that Arizona did last week (namely, we have a QB and a running game).
