I already admit that Luck is good and the media let us know about it more than we need to know. Besides him there is no other traditional young QB for the media to fall back on. Guys like Cam, Bridgewater, Wilson, Winston present a threat to that tradition.

wilson is tiny and needs to be out of the pocket to make plays because of his height and throwing lanes. he does it with his athleticism and can make some insane throws on the run a la aaron rodgers

 

bridgewater is ej manuel 2.0 at this point. check down city but he is a very bright dude from the games i've watched. needs to take more chances.

 

winston? dude hasn't even played a snap in the nfl but he makes nfl throws on a consistent basis. throws people open like traditional pocket passers. he's a borderline criminal though.

 

only problem with luck that i probably agree with you is that the media takes poo too far with articles like "the legend continues" he's overrated in that sense. but the dude is a baller.

Luck's touch, pocket presence and anticipation are truly awesome. I wish Cam had more those intangibles but Cam's athleticism makes up for his lack of development.

 

cam has shown all those things. just doesn't do it as consistently as luck.

Bridgewater is a very accurate QB who can make all the throws. You act like the Colts is going somewhere this year. They do have very good speedy receivers though.

 

As for Winston, you and I both know he's a beast. That's why try talking about his off field nonsense to deviate from the topic.

 

bridgewater doesn't throw the ball downfield enough. he takes the safe option too much which can lose you games.  i think that will change as he gets more experienced and confident. I would be more concerned about his frame if i were a vikings fan.

 

winston is gonna be legit if he can stop being fuging retarded off the field. dude makes nfl throws already and he knows the qb position. he consistently throws people open much like luck did in college. Not trying to deviate from the topic, but it is a legitimate concern with him at the next level. his talent will not be realized if he gets suspended from games because of off the field behavior.

 

if i were tampa i would draft winston purely from a football perspective, but he's also risky because of his off the field problems.

Well I am much more patient than others when it comes to crowning people.  Bridgewater and Winston do not belong with Cam/Luck/Wilson any more than Bortles and Mariota do.  They have just as much experience as Bridgewater and Winston and quite a few people think that they have better futures as well.

 

For a majority of highly touted QB prospects that future never comes.
