Honest discussion on Cam's accuracy issues.

I am a huge Cam Newton mark. He is my third favorite football player ever behind Jake Delhomme (Childhood hero) and a Baltimore Raven WR. He is our franchise QB and I know he will win Super Bowls for this franchise. But, why is he missing open guys? Its not like he isn't making good reads. He is scanning the field like Brady and Manning. Once he finds his WR the ball either sails or its just off the mark. This is the first year were this has been his biggest issue, which leads me to suspect that this is injury related and not an inherit problem, like say KB's drops. If we're going to go into Seattle or Green Bay and win Cam can't miss wide open guys.

Sometimes he might just have too much fastball

This Saturday the game is going to be about consistency. We need to remain consistent. We need to play the most consistent game we have all season. We've played them so hard the last few times we've played, but we have lacked those 3-4 plays that we need to win the game. Stopping them in the red zone in the last minute, not fumbling in the redzone in the last two minutes, not giving up a Big TD in double coverage, capitalizing on turnovers. If we can play consistent we'll win. The problem is, we're not very consistent, as our record clearly indicated. We need turnovers.

I really think it has a lot to do with Cam not being on the same page with his receivers. Many times he's actually leading a guy that's settling down or trying to find a soft spot. Unfortunately, there isn't much time to recover once Cam let's it go. The ball is on you in a hurry. If anything, he can learn a little touch, making the balls more catchable and allowing some room for error.
