The head vampire is dead

Edward Hermann, who played unlikely head vampire Max in The Lost Boys (as well as several other 'that guy' type roles) has passed away.

The Lost Boys is the first vampire story I recall using the rule that inviting a vampire into your home gives them power over you. I can't remember that rule in anything I'd seen or read before. I've seen it in three or four things since.

Saw it in the remake. Don't remember it being in the original.

I do remember the original was the first to say that crosses only worked if you had faith.
