If you mention the fact that one day Jake will retire it's considered "hating" among his minions of jock-sniffers.

it just amazes me that someone can start a thread wanting to debate the future of one of the most important positions on the football field...(all be it not at the most appropriate time)....and people fly off the handle. I don't mind people passionately debating their side as to why the panthers are fine with jake for the next 3-5 years...but the dumba** comments and the STFU's are petty and uncalled for.

Who dropped the age limit requirement down to 10? What a pointless post. We've seen this crap week after week and just when the it seems like the Jake haters take a week off, this guy with less than 20 posts comes in here to beat the deadhorse again. Can we worry about a replacement after the damn seasons over, that is if you think we need one. We're 11-and-freakin-3, NOT 7-9 or 6-10, etc. This is SUCH a retarded subject. You're about 4 weeks or 2 years too late.

you're right. Since 2003 it's been as if every other position was up for debate except one. Delhomme is our best chance to win, but he's not going to play forever. I just wonder if the panthers are going to suffer a mass exodus of fans once Jake leaves the same way the Falcon's suffered an exodus when their criminal was put in jail. Some days on the huddle it honestly appears that there is a deeper focus by the fans onto Delhomme that there is onto the team. Thankfully Delhomme has never bought into this hype the way the player-fans have. If he screws up he has always been the first to admit it.

Your too dumb to realize the entire board has started from scratch about 3 weeks ago when the new layout surfaced. I've been reading these boards for almost 2-3 years Bud. You come in here fresh and start a topic that has been beat to death. When we're 11-3 going into one of the biggest games in franchise history, and you talk about replacing Jake Delhomme.

i completely agree with you, what im saying is that how much longer can jakes heart keep winning us games?? i think he can take us back to the super bowl and long as we can run the ball....but how many more yrs can he play??

and fox does not look like the guy to draft a qb and i hate that, he will sign a 27-29 year old vet to get bye...i want to take the chance and maybe get a guy like manning or brady or even matt ryan

problem with drafting a guy is it will take about 2-3 years to develop him (guys like ryan, flacco, and cutler are few and far between) and then you don't know if he will pay off. how much money do QBs get when they are drafted early? sorry, i'd rather find better use for that money and let someone else pay to train a QB and let him get his little bit of experience.

give me a jake or a warner over a ryan leaf or a david carr any day.

anyway, i think we are fine with the two backups we have and very well could have our next QB here already.

I think it's obvious that this guy has never read a single post on the board. All of his posts on this board were for the most part in this thread. To say we need to replace Jake. How many times have we heard that? Oh wait....I'm asking the wrong guy.

I hate to sound bitchy, but come on, we've seen this crap atleast 2-3 times a week. Can we please talk about something else other than replacing Jake. Wait until February or sometime in the offseason. PLEASE

that is a good point, there has been some qb's took hight and they dont pan out... if we were to draft a qb i dont want a heisman winner

Eli??? eli played pretty well last yr in the playoffs....

yeah he did, but i still like jake better overall. both eli and jake have the flaky factor to some degree, but i think jake plays with more fire. i love it.

05 NFCCG aside, jake looks like an absolute beast in playoff games.
