DeAngelo has become borderline annoying on social media.

I did say wish. Love your opinion CRA but ya don't always have to be glass half empty lol...it's been a while but heres to hoping he takes a screen to the house saturday and settles down the doubters for this playoff run

I'm not always half glass empty. Cam and 28 can run on AZ. We can win. I think Fozzy can do a lot more for us than he is doing

Not thinking everyone is great...isn't being pessimistic.

Are ignoring those plays where 28 has zero hole and yet still creates.....like he did before 34 got hurt?

Also, how many of those running lanes develop bc of Stewart's and Cam's ability to run from the shotgun/read? Those runs work bc of the players being used.

Also look at the last game 34 played....he got hurt and 28 was leaned on and magically we have a consistant threat!

Williams doesn't work in the heavy shotgun/read role at all....never has well. So it goes back to how are these runs occuring. It isn't just the OL.

Fozzy also has more pop to his game. More burst and combines it with power.....

We've been running the read option for years and been pretty good at it. Stew didn't even play for the majority of 2 of those years. DeAngelo knows how to run out of the shotgun and he's put that on the field. While there's no doubt he's on the decline and Stew needs to be the main guy right now, please don't act like DeAngelo doesn't know what he's doing back there.

Besides, we run the read option from under center as well; we're not running it exclusively from the shotgun.

Either way, Stew needs rest on some plays and I'll take Dwill over the other.

Williams has looked bad this season. Maybe with the time off he'll be fresh.

Williams has looked very average for awhile....

No amount of time off will turn his 31 yr old legs into Fozzy's.

Wishing old RBs to be young is a waste of energy.....especially when you have young RBs that can play.

But all signs point to Ron putting 34 back into the gameplan...so you will get part of your wish

I don't see what the is issue with his comment. It's hit Facebook and he can post what he want. I have managed to look at his page as well as others and "fans" can say some terrible things. People take being a "fan" way too far when it's not that serious. I'm glad d will is back. He adds another fresh body and dimension

jeremy has unleashed info in the all-pro section that constructs an entirely new lens through which to view deangelo williams and the persona that he's crafted for himself. suddenly a lot of the things he posts make a lot more sense with that knowledge, and i admit it's been a while since i've been able to call myself a fan of the guy or the stuff he posts… a marked descent for a guy who was in my top three favorite panthers not so long ago.

his reply was respectful and about as good as he could've come up with, but that's a small thread in a tapestry that everyone's gotten tired of seeing hanging on grandma's wall.

i wonder if anyone can dig up stats on how well deangelo has fared as a part of the screen game. i seem to recall him looking pretty effective when we can actually get him the ball in space, but i don't know how much of a sample size i'm running that against.

and then of course if all he's good for is screens then you'll tip your hand by putting him in the lineup. bottom line is i'll be disappointed if he's in there for any significant length of time taking reps away from the hot hands.
