Kelvin Benjamin continues drops in Practice

Quiet down or else 5 new threads about him might open any minute now :P

Not to stir the pot and not trying to bash Benji but these drops are very concerning esp heading into the playoffs, yes he has had 1000 rec yds but quite a bit of those yds let's face it came in garbage time during our blowouts, I can recall atleast two of his 9 TDs happening during garbage time. Take away the garbage time stats he is closer to 750-800 red yds and 6 or 7 TDs which is still solid for a rookie

1000 yards is fine, but it could have been so much more.  The drops killed a potentially legendary rookie campaign, and dropped him back to the pack. The truth is is that Benjamin got markedly more opportunities than some, and Benjamin arguably did not maximize those opportunities---particularly when judged against his peers.

I can't say with surety that his hands will ever get better, and I don't see how anyone else can either.  We are just hoping and surmising that his hands will become more sure.  What I will say is that I absolutely believe that his route running can become better.

Hopefully we will draft a more sure-handed big-play WR in the draft who is faster and more polished.  I believe that this will not only help Benjamin, but the offense as a whole.

I don't understand why some "fans" need to bash one of our players in order to praise another. Yes, KB has an issue with drops. Hopefully he'll get that addressed. But, he's still had 1,000 receiving yards and 8 TDs as a rookie while being the #1 WR. That's really damn good. Bene has been an absolute steal as a 5th rounder. Great pick. I'm really excited about both, presently and for the future.

9 TDs

If he didn't have drops he would be Calvin Johnson.

He is dropping some he should catch but making some he has no business catching. Right now just taken the good with the bad.

The thing you should consider is he has amazing abilities that are not coachable. If his hands become more consistent you have an all-pro WR

If not we will have to "settle" for these 1,000 yard 9 TD seasons ;)
