Mic Mixon Coming up on Fox Sports Radio (National)

Check it out at foxsportsradio.com, iheartradio app, or in Charlotte on 98.7.

The National guys have really surprised me with their coverage of the Panthers. They are intrigued by a team that went 2 months without winning followed up by a month without losing. We didn't back into the playoffs like many .500 ish teams that have made it before.

I don't have an exact time by the way. It was teased 15 minutes ago.

I like Mick. I know some folks don't, but I do. He works well with Eugene, Szoke and Gross.

He's been around long enough that I identify him more as the voice of the Panthers than Bill Rosinski.

Most of his calls lack excitement, he has trouble spitting it out. My favorite Mic Mixon call though is the Brockelrooski.

As a former radio and tv broadcaster myself....I can tell you that Mic Mixon has the talent of a junior college communications major and the voice of one too..........can't stand that guy.

But I'm old school..........Vin Scully is the voice and way to deliver a sporting event.

He went to the Cam Newton School of Metaphors. He went to class the first week and figured he had a good enough grasp to branch out on his own.

He is the most lethargic call guy I have ever heard. He is the smooth jazz of sports commentators maybe even Gregorian Chant either way it's a boring ass radio voice.

Great to talk shop with in the parking lot but conveying emotion over the airwaves is not his strong suit and unfortunately that's what makes his job important.

Yeah Mick is pretty terrible, but we're probably stuck with him for a while.

How about the stupid "huddle up" he does before every game?

And when a big play happens, like the Tre Boston interception return for a TD he's like "And it's.....intercepted! Boston to the 30, 20......(silence).....and he's in for the touchdown".

Like wtf, that was the biggest moment of the season.
