Reasoning for Suh Suspension Being Lifted

Suh should he suspended a minimum of 6 games next season plus any remaining games the Lions may have. He has proven that he is a dirty player and will not change. There is no place in the NFL for that.

There are no dirty players in the NFL, and have never been? Do you not see the forearms to the head, ribs, and legs. The knees to the back, the deliberate pulling and twisting of many other players? The poo happens everywhere dude.

With this reasoning, Greg Hardy should immediately appeal being on the commissioners list and be eligible to play on Saturday.  Absolute bullshit that dirty player gets off with no punishment.  The NFL is a joke when it comes to disciplining its players.

Everyone goes out of their way to crap on players like Suh when they do this, but then whine that the refs don't "let em play" and that the game is losing its once sharp edge.

This is the kind of stuff Butkus, Hamm, Mean Jo Greene, et al made a living on. Lawrence Taylor would have called Suh a p***y for pulling up at the end.

You can't go and talk about the good ol' days and then go clutching your pearls just because now the extra curriculars are replayed 70,000 times in slowmo 1080p throughout the week.

Everyone doesn't do anything, there is no 100% agreement on anything.  Yea, those old players did this but it was an even playing field.  It is against the rules now and 99% of other players aren't doing it, so it's not an even playing field.  And Lawrence Taylor flipped his poo and was the most emphatic about calling the trainers over when he saw what his clean hit did to Theisman's leg.  He wasn't trying to injure anyone like Suh does.  LT was aggressive and full speed at all times, not dirty like Suh.

Burfict and Suh need significant suspensions with lifetime bans on the next offense.  Even Raiola should be on eggshells, though his actions seem to be more "heat of the moment" type stuff than calculated attempts to injure from what I've seen.  I've got no tolerance for this intent to injure BS that some of these players are getting away with time and time again.  If a Panther pulled that poo I'd be saying the same thing.

Kelly Hall made it loud and clear what side she was on Tuesday on Instagram.

Hall, the fiancée of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, blasted the NFL for its one-game suspension of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh after he stepped on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' leg in the Lions' 30-20 loss Sunday.

Hall claimed Stafford was stepped on, too, but no one noticed because Stafford is "not Aaron Rodgers." She included this photo of Stafford from Sunday's game with his left sock torn:

PS, in regards to the idea that other players don't do what Suh does.

"If they play dirty, then you play dirty."

                                - Lawrence Taylor

And he has ended up a very broken, bitter old man because of the personality he has and he played with. Which by extension says he would not change. I see the same thing happening with Suh. It's part of his personality.

You need to watch film of former players like Ronnie Lott and you'd see that it is very possible to not play dirty and to hit cleanly and still be the best at your position in your time. Davis & Keuchly as good examples too.

That wasn't the reason. Nfl prohibits suspension on a first time offense.

Now while we all no it wasn't the first time he did this, let me explain....

Conduct policy states that a "repeat offender" is defined by having committed an offense that brought forth league enforcement of punishment twice in a matter of 32 games.

Suh was in his 32nd game vs GB therefore he was operating on a "clean slate" not punishable by suspension.

That's the real reason he won the appeal. It wasn't legal.

Thanks for posting. It only took 40 posts before someone set aside their emotions and fanaticism to explore the facts.

The CBA allows for a 32 game "statute of limitations" for on-field transgressions such as this. Suh had gone the minimum 32 games since his last incident and therefore cannot be considered as a repeat offender. And, as a non-repeat offender, he cannot be suspended and, even more importantly, his past history cannot be considered. This is a function of the NFL's rules as negotiated in the CBA and with the NFLPA.

DISCLAIMER: I am not condoning nor do I support the on-field transgressions of the Detroit Lions DT and this post should not be considered an apologist perspective.

Plain and simple, the NFL's own rules prohibited them from suspending Suh.

Motherfuging what?

So even though the league believes Suh's stepping on Rodgers ankle was INTENTIONAL, they are letting him play because him missing a playoff game would be detrimental to the team and Lions fans?

Again, MOTHERfugING WHAT?

I know people believe this is beating a dead horse, but in light of the comments above...why the fug is Greg Hardy not playing then?

This fuging league.

It's all about the money.
