Deangelo and Tolbert

I don't understand why the fans of this franchise hasn't learned you can never have enough good RBs.

Say what ya want about Williams, but he certainly didn't have the benefit of our current oline.

I'm not saying i like Williams as much as Stew, cause I've always liked Stew more (due to his running style), but this is the NFL, and it doesn't matter wh9 the rb is, and some point he's going to be ineffective in a game, or get hurt.

Can never have enough good RBs.

While Williams hasn't been running like he had in his prime, he doesn't look done to me.

We're going to need all of them in the playoffs.

You can, however, pay too much for too many...

Tolbert had a couple nice runs and several big blocks vs. the Falcons. On Philly's end around Tolbert was out in front of him.

Tolbert averaged 1.7 yards per carry.....he looks slow just like he did early in the season.

Yet people think the OL will revive Williams...

It isn't making Tolbert look better than he did early on

So many people here with such little football IQ. You can't assess Tolbert as a RB. He's a lead-blocking FB...a position he's damn good at

Tolbert more often then not is used as a RB. Not a lead blocking FB.

It's the Jimmy Graham franchise tag thing. Tolbert may be called a FB....he more often than not is playing the same position Stewart is

The stats don't tell the story. He had 7 carries.

1st carry Ryan Kalil gets blocked into him, no gain

2nd, great blocking 7 yard run up the gut

3rd poorly executed read option, maybe a faster back makes something out of nothing, no gain

At this point we are in the 4th quarter and the Panthers go vanilla.

4th run up the gut for two yards, team was in 13 personnel on 1st and 10

5th sweep toss on 2nd and 13 for 2 yds, they are basically practicing on the field

6th run up the gut for 2yards

7th Greg Olsen gets blocked into him -1

I'm not going to cast judgement on him for the way he ran with a 31 point lead. When the game was a contest he made a key first down and made several key blocks.

I got no issue with Tolbert on passing downs in protection and leaking out as a checkdown

No issue with him trying to get a yard up the gut

Him replacing 28 as a standard RB every time we sniff the 15....I don't like. Wish they would let Fozzy have a couple reps in between the 20s if they feel 28 doesn't have the energy to do redzone after driving down

Fozzy has the most pop to his running and seems to fight after contact. Need to use that

Agree 110%

I keep hearing this about Williams. I think that phrase stopped being relevant two years ago.

as long as he's healthy and on the roster............you'd be stupid not to give him a few shots a game.

He can be a game changer.........JMO

PS.......don't get me wrong......I've cussed him a plenty lately.
