Deangelo and Tolbert

Cam will gash the hell out of them if they get blitz happy. He will stand in the pocket and fire shots to Olsen or take off running for 20+ yards.

Arizona tried the blitz and pressure Cam crap his first game and he gashed them for nearly 500 yards. And this time Lindley is their QB and we have an actual defense.

Last time....they ate Cam up once they were allowed to T-off. They ate him up.

The game u refer to was different DC

I got no issue with Tolbert on passing downs in protection and leaking out as a checkdown

No issue with him trying to get a yard up the gut

Him replacing 28 as a standard RB every time we sniff the 15....I don't like. Wish they would let Fozzy have a couple reps in between the 20s if they feel 28 doesn't have the energy to do redzone after driving down

Fozzy has the most pop to his running and seems to fight after contact. Need to use that

I agree entirely.  I bitched about this to everyone who would listen at the end of our first drive last game against Atlanta.  We moved it right down the field no problem whatsoever and as soon as we hit the redzone we throw a bubble screen to Cotchery and run Tolbert on 2nd and long?  It made no sense whatsoever.  That's not how we got to the damn redzone.

Last year we played them was one of the 2 games where I thought we got whipped. Plain and simple.

Cam is a better short yardage option than Tolbert. Yes he's our QB, but him and Stewart together are the new Smash and Dash... except one of them can fake the hand-off and hit Olsen over the middle for a 12 yd TD.

Oh yeah....  Fozzy can be "Thrash."

Work both Dwill and Stew at the start with Tolbert as a run blocker for Dwill...............make a decision early to determine which tandem works best and give a 70/30 percent distribution in the run game to that attack to keep their D honest...........throw Cam in there to take off when he sees some yards and their D will be on its heels trying to figure out how to cover all aspects of our offensive running attack when we add the passing game and a few trickeries too.....

I really hope our special teams has worked on and kept in their hip pocket over the year some trick plays for the post season..............a fake punt or surprise onside may be a life saver when needed in critical moments.

Tolbert is not meant to be an every down back. He's meant for short yardage situations. I just believe he hasn't been utilized correctly.

Yes you are correct. Tolbert is meant to be used in short yardage like 3-1. But Ron and Shula has been using Tolbert on 2nd down a lot over the past month now. Whitner has not been used nearly enough. When Whitner gets a chance. He runs good. That's why Whitner should be used a lot more then Tolbert on 1st and 2nd downs when Stewart goes out for a rest. Shula using Tolbert to much is driving me crazy.

I don't understand why the fans of this franchise hasn't learned you can never have enough good RBs.

Say what ya want about Williams, but he certainly didn't have the benefit of our current oline.

I'm not saying i like Williams as much as Stew, cause I've always liked Stew more (due to his running style), but this is the NFL, and it doesn't matter wh9 the rb is, and some point he's going to be ineffective in a game, or get hurt.

Can never have enough good RBs.

While Williams hasn't been running like he had in his prime, he doesn't look done to me.

We're going to need all of them in the playoffs.

Didn't say we didn't need good running backs but I will say as a long time delo fan, he is done. He is a step slow, getting injured, has lost his pop, and with a hand not fully healed, a fumble waiting to happen and again, if not for salary cap, he would not be here. Either he has lost vision or desire or both and finds the nearest pile to fall into,

..and I hope I'm wrong and he shows me he still can play but right now it's Jstew and fozzy that got us to the playoffs. Ride them on in the big spots
