The Bersin Factor ?

Maryland has a WR Stefon Diggs... runs a 4.39 40. Has been hurt so he's projected to go in the later rounds. If available, would love to pick him up in the 3rd or 4th as a return specialist. Someone like him could really work his way into our WR rotation.

Someone like you mentioned would be big upgrade over Bersin because he is not the answer and probably couldn't make most NFL rosters.

I love this guys feel good story, who wouldnt?  At some point though the question is why is he there?  Is he a Rudy and elevating the level of play of others around him while having no physical talent whatsoever? IF thats the case then sure keep him around.  Good motivators sometimes are better to have around then more talented but cancerous players.

With that said,...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, do we have SOMEONE ELSE ANYWHERE that can do a better job of fielding punts???? Jonathan Stewart could and can return kicks with the best of them(yes I know he could get hurt, but he could on any other given play too)..

But punts,... is there any one else that can do more than stressing us all out and saying YESSSS just that he caught the ball???  I did punt return, its 100 times harder than it looks especially when outside in the lights or rain,....

Just saying. There are only like 3 punt returners in the draft as WR, none that Ive seen with CB. Ty Montgomery has the best stats at a 20 yard average.  Not a fan of drafting them ala our last 2 were busts-- and my first round choice are Jalen Strong or Beckham-Green besides Ron Staley and Lael Collins as tackles(assuming we pick 25th now).

bersin is ok.  He is a decent WR4 and until now was fairly reliable on punts.  He was there to avoid using Brown.  I agree about Fozzy he will do it, but bersin is better than practice squad, thats just knee-jerk.  Our team is not bad really... they just need to shake out the stupid.
