You just got Norwell'd

you know whats sad, watch Bell on this play.  The guy literally gives up, pats a couple of falcon defenders on the back and watches them head towards the ball.  The play was not over and he stood there watching as both 93/95 ran over to get in on the play to try and stop Cam.  The guy is horrible.  I've never hated a player before but I cant stand watching this guy quit on plays.

I'm going to get flamed for this but I wish Cam will celebrate more with his teammates first after he scores before he does the superman. I saw Norwell after that great block trying to approach him to celebrate but Cam was dancing so he just clapped and went his way.

It was Remmers actually.

Man you sure like to complain about Cam, or maybe you're a complainer in general.

Was wondering how long it would take for the Panthers to figure out their guards are better at pulling than straight up blocking. As long as they keep running plays that move the OL east-west instead of North-south the guards will be able to use their quickness, explosion, and leverage.

Norwell and Remmers are the top OL after Kalil. Just took too long to scrap the project of Chandler and toss Silatolu to the side.

I have to keep reminding myself that not only is Norwell a rookie, but he is an undrafted rookie. How did this guy go undrafted? I don't think it is a coincidence that the O-line started to play better when Norwell was given the opportunity to play.

You give Rivera too much credit, Norwell wasn't given anything he came in due to injury.

Please.

We've got a good young OL now with fewer holes to fill than before. Let's talk about that.

I liked the fact that Norwell found the block (hard to do) and then never lost forward momentum.  A good block would have been to turn the defender's shoulders one way or another, but to drive him into the endzone----

About Remmers-I watched Remmers on NFL rewind or replay and he was not as great as I thought.  He bent at the waist once while getting beat around the edge--not the end of the world--but then late, allowed the end to cross his face underneath and put Cam on his butt.  Cam got rid of the ball, an incomplete to Olsen, I think.

However, to make me feel better, I started watching Matthews.  I would rather have Remmers.  Norwell is a beast and I see a long career ahead of him.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
