In cases like this I always think back to when the Patriots traded for a "troubled" Randy Moss for peanuts, and then he and Brady proceeded to destroy the league.

 

And when Moss arrived in New England, Brady had already won his 3 Superb Owls, so Moss knew he didn't have the biggest dick talent in that locker room. Btw, those two never won a Superb Owl together.

 

Of all the WRs that will be cut this off-season, prolly the only one that Gettleman will let near our young and impressionable Benji and Philly would be Larry Fitzgerald. No divas will be allowed to infect that locker room.

I wanted to start a thread about Cobb and specifically this picture but was going to wait until the offseason.

I know they worked out together in the summer obviously but was it just because they were in the same city and Cam wanted to throw to someone or do they have a history?

Cobb would be nice in the slot because he knows how to move once the QB is on the move. Cobb makes a lot of catches after Rodgers extends the play and that's exactly what we need. Too many times when you see Cam scrambling the WR's have stopped moving.

However, Cobb has had a monster year and is going to get paid. We're still a year away from being able to afford a player like Cobb. Nice to dream about though, Benji and a speed WR (Devin Smith) we draft on the outsides and Cobb in the slot!

He's played pretty well this year (proving yet again the value of FA) and I think he'd fare much better in our offense than Miami's borderline West Coast.

That said, what he did the last game was a selfish thing to do and you gotta wonder if you want to risk him doing it again.

If he's apologetic over it I'd snap him up quickly, but otherwise I don't think I would.

I think Keyshawn was our first and last foray into free agent WR divas... we drafted Steve so he was "our" crazy person. We don't need someone else's

I wouldn't be opposed to a 1year-prove-yourself contract since those are all the rage these days. Doubt he'll take that, though. There are some teams that would be willing to take a chance on him and offer a longer term contract.

This guy is a freaking spoiled kid. On top of that, Big Ben made him appear more talented than he truly is in Pittsburgh.

So then Cam should make him look like a Hall of Famer.

Totally agree with us being a year out. Just afraid he's going to command too much money and there are plenty of teams who think they're a player like that away and will pay up. Cool to think about though.
