The Coaching Carousel has begun

Seems like there is some more due diligence from the teams looking this season, but there finally is a hiring. Ryan Pace got the Bears GM job.

And as far as coordinators go - Kyle Shanahan and the Browns mutually parted ways, Dowell Loggains (QB coach, ex-Titan OC) also got his release from the Browns. The Bucs found their OC, hiring Dirk Koetter.

Somewhat of a surprise b/c a lot of Bear news outlets and fans were expecting Chris Ballard.

Makes their eventual HC hire an interesting one.

Speculation now that Doug Marrone could be the guy in Chicago since he and Pace used to be colleagues in New Orleans.

One of Marrone's former assistants apparently ripped him in the press, portrayed him as a Greg Schiano style a--hole.

Damn and I know about the Marrone connection.  The rest of my fam are Bears fans so I get to hear a lot about their "issues" haha.  It seems a good deal of fans don't want him but we'll see.

Rex and Thurmond as his DC.  I don't expect him to bring Mornhinweg, and I don't know what other options he'll have. That'll be the big challenge for him there, no QB and not a ton of offensive pieces.  Him going to a 3-4 team that's that good, in his same division, is definitely interesting (though I liked the idea I read somewhere that suggested he just become a rogue DC who shows up against Tom Brady every week too).

Marrone will flame out in Chicago if he's allowed.  I think it'd be great if he got left out in the cold.

Jets people think that Dan Quinn and Kyle Shanahan are the pairing in NY.  Yes, smart to have an OC handy.  I don't think it'll work, and after last night Quinn can pound salt anyway.
