If you really want to get technical about sight here...........an all white uniform on a receiver contrasted to green on the field and walls that are dark blue/black around the stadium is easier for a QB to spot when checking off receivers...............it does add a small advantage in execution........and perhaps might be one reason why it has been a uniform of preference......

 

Have you ever watched NFL players scrimmage in person up close? They are so quick and things happen so fast that any ablity to recognize your own faster is to your advantage.......

 

On the extreme side Vinny T was color blind and struggle with ID of recivers when teams had certain unis in the game...especially when he played with the Jets

I personally like all white. Would like to do this for every home game.

We basically do, and it's really silly.
