Should we resign Byron Bell?

I'm kind of surprised that this discussion has gone on five pages without anyone tossing this around:  http://www.spotrac.com/free-agents/nfl/left-tackle/.  Who do you want?

So tell me, those of you who think we should let Bell walk, you want to trust Cam's blind side to a rookie that fell to the bottom of the first?  You let Bell walk, and you're likely to wind up with Chandler taking over his spot.

After Gettleman does his usual cuts and restructures, we ought to have at least 10 million to spend.  But there just isn't anyone to spend it on that's worthwhile.

do not resign bell, his heart is not in it. he does not give full effort on plays and its quite noticeable. he is a liability to cam and can get the guy seriously injured. better to part ways now.

No...personally I don't feel like he's playing that much better. It's just that Norwell is that much better than who we had on the left previously. We need a solid, book end LT who is a guy we lean on not a guy we shy away from.

Hell no.

So seriously, who do you want?  I get that you don't think we should re-sign BB, but the only FA worth a damn is retiring, and we will be drafting in the bottom 12.  If we don't re-sign BB and a quality LT isn't available when we pick (which is highly likely), are you prepared for the Nate Chandler experiment on Cam's blind side?

addition by subtraction.  teams have yet to make their cuts.  Bell isn't a quality anything. he is a liability.  You dont want a guy like Norwell to play his heart out only to watch his team mate just go through the motions.  Thats the kind of stuff that starts problems in the locker room.

This thread is no different than all those claiming the team has turned a corner, Ron Rivera is suddenly a great coach and Shula has seen the light as the OC.

All because they won 4 straight and 7 wins won the division. Just a reminder, kids, most of you wanted all of them gone a month ago. 1 month and 4 games of a 4-month, 16 game season and how soon everyone forgets.
