Super Bowl or BUST

You guys can seriously sit there and tell me you would be happy if next week we lost and end up having the #21 pick rather than #8 just because we made the playoffs?

If we win the Super Bowl I could give a fug about draft position. But knowing we just played our way out of a top OT or Amari Cooper and may very well end up having nothing to show for it leaves me a little salty. There is a reason this team finished under .500 even though they are playing their best football right now.

I dont even have a clue what sort of logic you are using or trying to use here. Take your draft talk the draft forum. I want to win the playoff game next week. Nothing else matters now. You go tell the players that crap and see what reaction you get.

Once you are in the playoffs you have a 3 or 4 game season.............the goal is to get the needed 3 or 4 wins in a row one at a time........that is the focus.

Β

Ask any HOF player that doesn't have a SB ring if they would trade it for a SB ring and its unanimous the player wants that ring..........

Draft picks can wait.........

You're right, nothings else matters now. Everyone is on a clean slate. I want to win out just as much as anyone else on here. If we win it all, Great. Fug the draft.

My point is this team still has major holes that need to be addressed and if we don't advance far into the playoffs then was it all really worth it?

I know its hard for some people, mostly media members, to figure it out but let me explain. The team that was 3-8-1 is not the same team we are fielding now. That team had had Avant, Chandler, Silatolu, Deangelo, Decoud, Cason and Godfrey either starting or playing significant roles. That's 1/3 of our starters who have been replaced. The season started in December when we cut all the dead weight and started playing with real NFL players.

playoffs? You're upset about making the playoffs!? Playoffs!?!? Listen...I've waited 20 years for back-to-back playoff appearances. I don't give a rat's ass about draft position. And I won't care next year, either. Never will if it means we make the postseason. The playoffs are the reason to PLAY the regular season, and I can't wait to see next week's game. The draft poo can wait, we still have some FOOTBALL to play.

Call me a pretentious jerk, but yes, I would take the distinction of being able to talk poo to Saints, Falcons, and Bucs fans that the Panthers are the first to ever win back to back NFCS titles and drop 13 draft spots. Don't care. I really don't.
