Giving Rivera credit.

I'll give him credit for his December performances but why does it take him so long to figure out who his best players are each year?

Especially when this information is clear to most anyone who pays any sort of attention.

When your GM keeps letting talent go and you start 6 or 7 rookies how long do you think it takes turn them into the unit you saw today. I think he and his staff has done the best job of his 4 year stint this year given all the adversity and raw players he was given

Our GM has stocked much more talent than he has let go. How long it took was marred by injuries on defense but the OL was a huge mistake from day 1....it was easy to tell too and the changes verified that.

Ron still has inept at best game management and Shula is a liability...the NFC South was horrific this year.

Ron's golden goose is his December wins which is undeniable...he's got to show he can go an entire year without these classic losing streaks that put him on the hot seat...then he suddenly pulls his head out of his ass when that ass is hovering over a fire.

Raw players he was given? More like talent...talent that easily replaces and surpasses the "talent" that was let go.

No one misses Ginn or Mitchell now that Ron has finally put the right players in place.

Smitty would make this offense a little better and is the only hurtful loss that wasn't a retiree.

I don't want to rain on this great win. Cause he definitely had the team ready. But the only reason this team got better was because of injuries to some duds on the oline and in the secondary. He still can't evaluate talent. Hope he's learned a lesson

Totally agree, but I'm riding with Ronnie for the playoff run.

Clearly no room for discussion here as your mind is made up and has been.

I look at how the season unfolded and give him credit for getting the most he can from the guys he had and keeping them motivated and fighting tooth and nail until the end. His staff are great teachers and they did a great job molding the raw talent into a team that can actually contend.

But I won't waste anymore time since you will disagree and try and paint as negative picture as you can. Meanwhile I am going to be going to the playoff game next week and enjoying the team for as long as the ride lasts. Today we actually looked like we did last year. Hopefully we get a better result than last year or in 2008. I was at that game and expect a much better result this time.

    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
    • The bottom lines to me are that a) we played well enough to beat the best team in the league and b) Bryce Young is growing into a bridge QB role (his ceiling) for us. As much as I don't want BY around after the season, it seems DC can still build the O with a game manager at QB for now. Best case scanario, we can build the D through the draft this year and take a QB we have conviction outside the 1st this or next draft. If BY keeps improving, we are going to win a couple more games this year.
    • Bryce has been a completely different QB since coming back. That started in Denver where it was obviously he was playing a lot more loose and willing to push the ball downfield  Bryce continues to build off of the previous weeks performance and that’s what you want to see Bryce has been making some real good anticipation throws. Reading defenses well. Pushing the ball downfield (7 throws of 20+ air yards yesterday. 8 if you want to include PI to Thielen). The deep ball accuracy has been there. Some of Young’s best throws yesterday were incompletions. Sideline balls to XL and Moore both should’ve been caught. RZ dot to Tremble should’ve been caught. And another RZ ball to Moore that Young gave him a chance at. Bryce is starting to execute Canales offense and yesterday Canales finally opened it up a bit. Canales was to blame for the 126 passing yards in Germany as he played a more conservative game.  The next bit I’m looking for his for Young to be a bit more decisive with running the ball. Start putting that on film and it’ll help open things up a tad
