You can just Feel it.. Its not about winning and getting into the playoffs - its about righting the ship at the right time and watching the chips fall into place.

For US its about knowing that we could have had a better record had Cam been healthier at the beggingig of the season, Hardy and Alexander been around.. oh yeah we'd be in a different position.

That ship was leaking all the way through but - we are here ready to reset the clock to 0 and god knows what can happen. Ill say this again.. i remember when the giants went 9 - 7 and caused harvok all the way to the Bowl... guess who was the Talent manager behind the scenes.

I trust Ron with Defense - we have a YOUNG FLYING secondary who are very fresh especially at this time of the season after a gruelling 15 games.

Shula seems to have got the message... let Cam run no huddle and kick back and enjoy and this is Atlanta - they are going to rely on Julio :) If ron can slow down Megatron - this should be truly one of the best games of the year. :)

Ok, how can I put this lightly.. We SUCK. Here are some numbers for you

8-Total COMBINED pts we beat the worst team in the NFL by (Bucs) this season, yep, only 8.

137- Total amount of points we have lost by in losses this season. 8 losses, that equates to us losing by an average of 17 pts per game we lost by.

3-Number of times we have lost to the Seahawks... All three times consecutive.. All three times at home.

2- Number of punts we have had blocked this season in a single game returned for a TD, last time that happened, Bush Sr was still president.

31-13 Final score of a loss we had this season against the Vikings.. THE VIKINGS.

4- Number of CONSECUTIVE post bye week losses over the last 4 seasons.

And finally, we are NOT the Giants.. 9-7 is worlds different than 7-8-1, please stop with the comparisons. We suck, we dont deserve to be in the playoffs. It amazes me how people on here are in sucj good spirits when the reality is we got EXTREMELY lucky the rest of the NFCs sucked. You guys do realize all a win will do is not only drop our draft position but also give Rivera and the rest of this coaching staff more ammo for them being retained. If you are all for keeping Shula and dropping 12-15 spots in the draft, then go Panthers!!

Dude, if the thought of the Panthers winning agonizes you so much, do yourself and real Panther fans a favor and don't pull for them, not just for this last game, NEVER again. Your dilemmas solved.

You know what, you're exactly right.

 

But if you can't find the humor in winning the division despite essentially tearing the team down almost completely for a rebuilding season because of major cap issues, with virtually every veteran free agent signing being a disappointment at best, and with Ron Rivera at head coach and Mike Shula at OC, then I can't help you.

 

If all goes according to what we think Gettleman has planned, this is SUPPOSED to be our worst team under his watch, and look where we are.

The problem is im optimist when its warranted. People only focus on my negative posts. Go look at my posts last year when we where 12-4 or even this season after our 2-0 start. Do you really think I gave two damns about the draft thus time last year?! Hell no because we where 11-4 and deserving of a playoff spot and we played lights out all season.

I call it just like I see it and im sorry, but there is a lot of unwarranted, blind optimism on here and im being a realist. Im sick of this team getting hot only in December and us winning these games late in the season against teams that are already out of the hunt and people here (and even journalists) are praising Rivera and getting happy.

Im sick of the inconsistency from this regime year in and year out. Rivera plays just good enough to save his job and bring down our draft position, come next year he will be on the hot seat then suddenly Riverboat Ron will come out of hiding and we will have a winning record, go one and done and then have another sub par year the next year. Fug Rivera, sick of his BS
