Atl Falcons elite defense?

That is the big reason most of us are surprised that our total defense is top ten. Offense and ST have given away too many games. MINN comes into mind where we had to start throwing cos ST got us in a hole. Game against SEA was winnable save another offensive fumble.

24 points in Philly: PR TD, and at least 17 POT.

21 to Minny with 2 ST and a pick 6.

7 to Pitt(philly muff)

10 to Cincy- long KR and int in our territory that led to FG.

14 POT to Chicago

7 POT to NO game 1

Seems like we gave up another PR TD to someone else I can't recall. And when I say POT I mean either direct score or ball in red zone. Plus there are some more out there I am missing.

I can link at least 45 points just in the Philly and Minn games that the offense or ST gave to our opponents and easily over 100 points off the season.

They think that holding the saints to 14 makes them elite and it's a "corner" that's been turned... I loled hard... Thinking we held the to 10 (7 in garbage time) and were complaining about it.

They gave up 22 to Detroit without Megatron. We only gave up 7 while they were at full strength.

It counts as much as any other stat, not to mention the scoring D is calculated only by the points surrendered by the D.

Not even the top half of the league.

I suppose it's where you look to get stats. Typically it's just points allowed by team where we are actually ahead of Atl despite giving up over 85 of the 371 being at the hands of our offense or ST.

I started this thread to point out the delusions of many of the Falcons fans.

I in no way meant it to be a serious discussion about what class the Atlanta defense is in.
