IT'S OUR TURN

We have had over the years a chance to lock up a playoff spot in the final week only to lose it at home.

This is our chance to turn the tables and we get to do it against Atlanta.

I think the defense will be good enough to contain Atlanta. We won't shut them out but I do believe that Norman will keep Jones in check. We almost had them last time.

The accident put the NFL into perspective with Cam. It seemed like Cam was having fun and that is going to make a difference in this game.

Go Panthers

I know this is crazy and expect it to be close but what IF I mean IF shula actually opens up the playbook and goes and wants to score every drive not control time of possession it would be crazy to think we have a good play caller but it's what ever we all know that will never happen

Big mistake if we win, as ive said in another thread. I have 0 confidence this team can make a deep playoff run, yes "anything can happen" but thats just like me goong to Vegas and saying "i know the odds are GREATLY stacked against me, anything can happen." Well ofcourse "anything CAN happen" but what are the actual odds it WILL actually happen?

Having said that, we stand more to gain from losing then winning. If we lose we A. Secure a top 10 (slight chance at the 8th pick) in the draft and B. We drop our hated NFCs rival the Falcns all the way to early-mid 20s in the draft.

If I truely believed we had a legit shot at a deep playoff run, I would be all for going all in. Im sorry, but in my opinion its not worth dropping that far in the draft for the "moral victory" of saying we made the playoffs. I would love for the Falcons to be the team we screw by dropping them so far in the draft while watching them be one and done in the playoffs.

You would be fooling yourself if you didnt think the Falcons brass arent thinking the same thing. They are going to fire Mike Smith (already been reported), why would they want to make the playoffs and hurt their rebuild by dropping that much in the draft

This isn't the NBA. Dropping in the first isn't going to make or break next season.

But if it bothers u just look at it as a win win. Either we get to watch at least an extra week of our beloved Panthers or we get a top 10 pick

Its not about just making a deep playoff run. Its hard to establish a winning culture when youre constantly shifting from 7-9 to 11-5 to 7-9 like we did in the Fox era. Even if we get in with a losing record, being able to win our division two years in a row is going to do wonders towards establishing ourselves as a consistent playoff team IMO. Especially when i think we will be the early favorite to win the division next year
