I like that a few of our best players have some pretty deep roots in Atlanta. Making this basically a home away from home game.

You can't take that for granted.

Two teams getting red hot at the right time meeting for a brawl winner takes all in enemy territory. Cam co. and our D will show up big.

Please tell me why all these threads are overlooking ATL.....If you forgot we 7-8-1....Steamrolling into the playoffs.....I think not we still have an OC who playcalls like a teenage girl trying to pick out a prom dress. Let's slow our rolls a bit and not set up the huddle for a crash on sunday.. and yes...I want us to win but I'm looking at this game like every  division rivalry game...a straight backyard dog fight.

 

Can't argue with that.  I honestly think we have a 50/50 chance of winning.

There's no reason for us to slow our roll, it's nut up or shut up time. Pessimism should be a ban-able offense right now. Especially since the game is against the Falcons

 

 

Honestly, I don't think OP is being Pessimistic. If anything, he's being realistic.  

 

 

It is true, we aren't repeat champs yet. We aren't in the playoffs yet. So taking this one game at a time, is fine by me.

Playoffs start Sunday for us.  I have little confidence we are beating anyone with anything on the line.  If they do, awesome.  If not, I won't lose sleep.  Being the best of a garbage conference does very little to get me excited.

Falcons will lose on purpose to secure a top 10 draft pick. Put your GM/owner hat on for a minute.. Why on earth would you want to drop that many draft spots in exchange for being one and done in the playoffs AND when you have already decided you are firing your HC and going into rebuild mode. If im the Falcons GM, im going for the loss.

Why not?! If the Falcons couldnt do crap in the playoffs when they where actually good, what on earth makes them think they will make noise when they are bad? If im Arthur Blank, I want to lose

Probably because we are just fans and not players on the field that actually impact the game. Kind of obvious.

If the team wants this game they will win it. We are in control of our destiny. Whether we talk about playoffs or not doesn't matter at all. The fans are excited and we deserve to be after this bullshit of a season.

What action will they take to lose? Tell the players to play poorly? They're playing for contracts and every down counts. That's their resume. Tell the coaches to call bad plays? Same situation. Any action they take to intentionally lose the game would have severe consequences. The people asked to tank the game will snitch to the media, and then you have a disaster. The higher draft picks will be taken away as a penalty, and the people involved will be punished by the league. The going to try to win.

Not really. Everyone on the AFMB is predicting us to lose and is talking more about the draft than the game.
