Great article by Newton (extends his video report-scroll to second article)

  • Andrew Norwell, LG: The undrafted rookie out of Ohio State was inactive the first six games. He made his first start in the eighth game at left guard when Amini Silatolu was injured. The Panthers have rushed for 100 yards or more in every game he's played.
  • Trai Turner, RG: Injuries have played havoc with the third-round pick out of LSU since training camp. But he's been healthy the last five in which the offensive line finally has developed chemistry.
  • Kelvin Benjamin, WR: The 28th pick of the draft out of Florida State has been a force since Week 1 and a top candidate for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He has 72 catches, the most among Carolina wide receivers, for a team-best 999 yards and nine touchdowns.
  • Philly Brown, WR: The undrafted rookie out of Ohio State made veteran Jason Avantexpendable last month. He gives the Panthers the speed and deep threat the offense has been missing. While he hasn't caught a lot of deep balls, just the threat of him forces defense to change coverage.
  • Adarius Glanton, LB: The undrafted rookie out of Florida Atlantic made his first start Sunday when A.J. Klein was placed on the inactive list with an ankle injury. He played 57 percent of the snaps, finishing third on the team in tackles with five, including a tackle for a loss.
  • Bené Benwikere, CB: The fifth-round pick out of San Jose State was the nickel corner at the beginning of the season before an ankle injury sidelined him for six straight games. He moved into the role as every-down corner the past three games after veteran Antoine Cason was released. He has an interception, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
  • Tre Boston, FS: The fourth-round pick out of North Carolina missed most of the offseason and preseason recovering from a sports hernia. He was inactive for the first five games. He replaced veteran Thomas DeCoud the past three games and has played every snap.
