i coukd care less what the fuxking media says and none of you should either. Its fake and money driven. Greed. Ratings.

Does not care about acuraccy.

Agree for the most part.

I do like to listen to a couple guys, but I don't get my panties in a wad if they say Cam is playing poorly, nor to I pop wood every time they say he is playing good.

Cam is a young, ascending, but inconsistent player, who has all the tools, but need time behind center, and an OC that knows how to coach.

Can you imagine what they would have said if had made no comment at all? Maybe the panthers clip on sportscenter would have mentioned how Cam gutted out a win, maybe no mention of his news conference at all but he said what he said and it is what it is. The story comes off Newton calls Panthers fans classless, is it what he meant, no I don't think so, but he shouldn't have went there and if he doesn't know better by now his PR team has work to do..

What's wrong with what he said?

He was asked a question and commented on it....So what?

I understand he could have said nothing or been more beign. However, since this has happened to him in New Orleans, you could understand his passion and support for his fellow "vilified" QB/NFL player.

Of course, he was talking about the fans that cheered (including Cleveland's), and not every Panther fan. Come on now.

No biggie. This is only a discussion, cause Cam said it, and takes away from his win.

Anyone else, and you'd never even hear about it. And if you did, it would be seen as a  clear positive.

Nothing here.

You can believe that Cam was out of line for what he says... But you're incredibly wrong.

There are fans who said that people were cheering Manziels injury and there are fans who said they weren't. Cam's statements basically said that if you're cheered for any player to be hurt, that's classless. He has every right to make that statement since he has been on the receiving end of it.

If you don't want Cam to be paid, then don't go to the game. He makes a lot of money, because he's good at something others are not... and he doesn't owe it to anyone to do anything.

You're a FAN. You're a consumer. You're going to see a show... it's the movies. Cam is an athlete... on par with a movie star, or a rock star. You're not a stock holder in a company... you're a Fan of a football team. You don't get a say.

Denzel Washington doesn't owe you anything. The Rolling Stones dont owe you anything because they're successful. Yes, they're appreciative to you for your support... but you bought it because you're a consumer.... a fan. So this whole idea that because Cam is making a lot of money, he is somehow indebted or obliged to the consumer is retarded.

But if a player gets hurt, its not only job-threatening, it effects their health. This is CLASSLESS. Don't start moralizing on Cam or anyone else because they don't do everything exactly the way you think they should.

If you have to be convinced of the medias bias against Cam, then you probably share that bias. Even when Cam is doing well... all of his compliments are backhanded or they find a way to credit his coaches for his development, or the defense. Of course he's not a perfect person... and he does some things on the field that make you shake your head... but this media cloud has been something that followed Cam around since before he was a Panther. And Im not sure that winning will solve it.

Damn! Truth bomber alert. 10/10

The media is scared of what Cam can become, one of the best QBS in the league. There are a lot of individual analyst and commentators who love Cam but overall a few levels above their heads the perception is very different. They don't want Cam to be good or great and be forced to cover him. If you want to know what relevant people think with actual football knowledge then look at preview articles and opposing coach and player interviews to a team the Panthers are about to play. ESPN is a joke. They are a monopoly. There are no other options and unfortunately they can skew the minds of non rational thinkers and brainwash them into thinking whatever they want. That's my only issue, all these morons degrading Cam because ESPN said he was a bad guy.

24 hour sports network coverage of "news" requires the talking heads to keep shoveling the "news" on sports.................and to fill up all that air time they can end up sounding like girls in the hallway of a high school gossiping about their football team players............

It pays to listen to such talk with a critical and sound mind as a filter to all the overload of ballyhoo.......

What's wrong with what he said?

He was asked a question and commented on it....So what?

.

He wasn't asked that question he was asked what he thought of Johnny's performance, he added the classless part all on his own.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, I said I don't agree with his perspective, and you shouldn't complain that a comment he made that would have trumped any QB's average performance and stole the headlines. If Tom Brady had made the same comment on Sunday it would be on continuous loop on sportscenter, trumping the fact he played like garbage by his standards. The fact Cam's comments made the rounds tells you he is more relevant than his recent success has warranted, and make no mistake he works to keep it that way (relevance that is).

And yeah nothing here, that's what I'm saying, all this anti Cam / anti Carolina talk is horseshit. When Cam plays well and the Panthers win they get plenty of love. When they don't they're irrelevant same as any other small market team. The reason our fan base doesn't realize this is because the Panthers are small market don't win consistently and aren't in the conversation for good reason. Makes us jealous of the teams that are.

Meh, it's this way for a number of athletes. It's nothing new. Newton just needs to ignore the bullshit or use it as extra motivation.

Hey pstall, if threads like this bother you and MadHatter so much, maybe you guys could I don't know, try not replying to it numerous times and pushing it to the top of the page all over again?

Say that again? I couldn't hear you over the chainsaw.

It doesn't bother me to the point of driving off a cliff while One Direction blasts from my speakers.

You don't have to comment either if you don't like me not liking something.
