Steve Smith calls fans "fat, lazy, armchair QB's"

To be honest it looks like he is calling the media this.

Seems to me your title is misleading.

Fans are referred to as armchair quarterbacks, not media. Because armchair quarterbacks are know-nothings that watch the games from home, on their armchairs.

Thanks for playing though.

It was funny when he said 'write something down so i can say how horrible that poo is'.

I laughed at least.

The Ravens could still very likely get in. I remember last year the Chargers needed some team planes to crash for them to get in and they made it. Also the Bills eliminated themselves, The Dolphins are out. The Bengals play the Broncos tonight and Andy Dalton is known for playing his worst in primetime.

Also the Ravens play the Browns their last game.

Not sure why they're so upset. The Texans are full of talent. They just got beat by a good team.

"Bottom line is offensively, we just got our ass kicked," Smith said. "That's what happened. That's what the score looks like. That's what it looks like when you just lose. That is the consequences of losing."

Smith's frustrations weren't contained to just the team's on-the-field performance, he also took aim at those that will criticize the team's play.

"We expect and understand and anticipate all of the negative feedback and all of the fat, lazy, sorry couch quarterbacks are going to come out," Smith said. "We expect that and understand that. We're not going to pay attention to it."

Known for his volatility, Smith then lashed out at a reporter who asked about his level of concern about the offense. The Ravens managed a season-low 211 yards of total offense, completing 42 percent of their passes and averaging 2.1 yards per carry.

"Won't you write and then I can tell you how much b------- it is," Smith said.

The Ravens lost control of their playoff fate by getting upset by the Texans on Sunday. They were eliminated from the AFC North race and will need other teams to lose in order to make the postseason.

What he said.

he's just pissed because he's not going to make the playoffs, but the soft Panthers that he schooled are.  paybacks are a bitch.

Gotta wait til Sunday afternoon to know who's in and who's not.

If Broncos beat BengalsRavens clinch a playoff spot with:

1) a win plus a Bengals loss in Pittsburgh

2) a win plus a Chargers loss or tie

3) a tie plus a Chargers loss

Of course it's much more straight forward for the Panthers.
