2015 schedule: Seattle would be playing in Charlotte AGAIN (if season ended today)

We DO know which games are home and away. That's already laid out for years

Where do you find this? I was always under the impression that the opponents are something you can figure out on your own, but home and away are a toss up for what the NFL decides. The San Diego game is an example that comes to mind because my friend is a chargers fan and we were going to go to the game together because we thought it would be a home game, but it ended up not being one.

Just Google "Panthers future opponents".

Not sure about the SD game you're referring to.

I don't look at that schedule as a pushover. A lot has to happen but Jacksonville is on the verge of something. Their defensive line has looked good this year. The Giants should be good with all of their talent.  Houston is so good just no QB.

Even Tampa should be better, Mike Evans is a beast. The Saints should be better, the Falcons, meh. We lost to the Vikings this year so I don't see any gimmees next year.

The SD game was a few years back, I want to say 2012. Regardless I remember reading something like this and they had the chargers listed as a home game, it ended up being in SD when the schedule came out.

I dunno if they change it on the regular or what, just what I remember seeing.

That only happened because there was a rule that split the AFC West up to avoid having to make both the SD and OAK trip in the same year. As a result we got DEN at home again when the schedule rotation should have put us there.

For those interested on how the schedule works:

Our NFC opponents are on a 6 year rotation.

2015 - NFC East - Eagles/Redskins at Home - North opponent at Home

2016 - NFC West - 49ers/Cardinals at Home - North opponent at Home

2017 - NFC North - Packers/Vikings at Home - East opponent at Home

2018 - NFC East - Giants/Cowboys at Home - West opponent at Home

2019 - NFC West - Seahawks/Rams at Home - East opponent at Home

2020 - NFC North - Lions/Bears at Home - West opponent at Home

It is set up so that there is never a possibility of playing a non-division opponent at home more than 3 times in a row. Also, the AFC is on an 8 year rotation.
